[S2E2 Spoilers] Theory? Was he aware of this?

Was Carver aware of Nick's moms death?

I'm sort of stuck with this one. I mean, first you could assume that she died while with Carver right? However, as Carver has pretty much been identified as the "leader" of this main group, at least by Carlos' words, it seems strange that he, after being so long into the apocalypse, would take a bitten woman at the possible risk of losing some of his community. There's also the fact that Luke when at the dinner table Luke refers to the subject as "WE took care of someone who got bit." Might just be my misunderstanding, but could you infer that they had a choice over it, thus it would be when the Cabin group had recovered at the cabin and left Carver's rule?

In which case, if the Cabin group had escaped before Nicks mom died and when the cabin group had relocated, how could Carver possibly know that she died? After all, Carver refers to him as looking for seven people. "Couple of farm boys and an old man (3), Spanish guy and his daughter (5) big black guy and a pretty little pregnant lady(7)." Not one mention of Nicks mom.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here, but if someone could clear this up or add to it it'd be great.

  • Good point. I'd have to say an oversight and one that probably won't be covered, but there could be more to it.

  • Could also give another hint to a traitor in the group and also the fact Carver came over alone when everyone basically was out. Also the fact that after five days of travel Carver was able to track them and wasn't it Luke the one with the map and told them to leave?

  • They probably tracked relentlessly for Rebecca
Remember Bonnie was pretty much a scout
