What was ___ whining about at the end of ep. 2?
I think Luke and Kenny were planning something while Carver was holding them hostage. Kenny thought that he should just snipe them but Luke has the same fear about the consequences of he does, like killing a hostage. Kenny doesn't listen and tells Luke to take a hike, so Luke gives up on Kenny and tries to go and negotiate himself. But then Kenny starts shooting. That's just my theory. There are lots of possibilities. What do you guys think happened to Luke?

I think he just left because he was jealous that Clementine wants to be with Kenny more than him, he's not hiding because he would've helped killed the walkers. I think he'll return in episode 3 and rescue the group from Carver's camp somehow, he just feels left out I guess.
Going by his past behavior, I'd guess he came up with a plan of action before suddenly getting bit by the "probably, maybe, I don't know" bug. He froze with indecision for too long and Kenny took things into his own hands. Knowing Carver's way of doing things he opts for a tactical retreat instead. Who knows, maybe he went on ahead down the slope to sabotage Carver's return journey.
I think Carver has his own twisted set of rules and Luke knew them. So far what we know is that If you kill one of his men he'll kill one of yours. If you spite him say spit in his face he'll break your fingers or punish you. Carver in essence is a true dictator unlike some kind of psychotic antagonist cop out coughNegancoughGovernor*. I sure at least hope TTG isnt going the Krikman route. We still dont know the full story between him and the cabin group.
I have a theory that Luke is the wild card this season.
