Yes, it is possible. I had him survive in my episode. Can't tell you exactly what I did though, since the last 30 minutes are a mess in my mind.

  • Yeah, just make sure Kenny doesn't shoot. Though, I'm guessing he'll have to die in Ep. 3 at some point. Same with Nick. Like how saving Ben last season pretty much changed nothing ultimately.

  • Actually Alvin survived after Kenny killed Johnny in my play through..

  • Ya but still damn! A lot. People were killed on my file, nicks dead, Walter is dead, alvin Is dead and Pete it dead, wow! There reslly making the choices matter now.

  • If you surrendered you have to either run to Alvin or shout for Kenny not to shoot. If you went to Kenny you just tell him not to shoot.

  • If you go outside use [grab gun] or convince Kenny not to shoot. If you stay inside use [protect Alvin] or yell at Kenny not to shoot. If you want to save Nick also, you have to tell Walter that he is a good guy.

  • Funny thing, I told Kenny not to shoot, and he did anyway...And then Carver killed Alvin. I figured it was impossible to convince Kenny. Then my game crashed (for the second time) and when I reloaded it, for giggles, I grabbed Kenny's gun instead. Somehow that managed to convince him. All's well that ends well, I suppose.

That being said, even if Alvin is still alive, the fact that he could have died basically means he's a dead man walking (figuratively speaking) along with Nick. Remember how crucial to the plot Ben and Doug/Carley were once you saved them? Yeah. Not looking so good for Al.

Alvin and Nick, if still alive, are already dead, they will die for sure in the next ep.

  • I told Kenny not to shoot the first time around because of the hostages but taking out Carver was to big a temptation to ignore. If I had been given the option, I would have told Kenny to ignore the small fry, wait for the leader to show himself, and kill him FIRST!

I... Dislike losing characters before the narrative requires they die but in my mind I hear, "take out the leader, and the rest will scatter". Plus, Carlos was screaming out for someone to shoot him so, yea, I don't really regret trying to kill the guy.

  • Alright, the only two deaths in episode 2 that are determinant are Nick's and Alvin's. To save Alvin, from inside the house, either tell Kenny not to shoot or run up to Carver to try and save Alvin. I'm not sure if the first option works but I read that it does. The second one will make Clementine run up to Carver....and get punched in the stomach then used as a hostage, which makes Kenny give up. From outside with Kenny, either grab the gun or tell him not to shoot when Carver brings Alvin out. I know grabbing the gun works, not sure if telling him not to shoot works, but again, I read that it does.

To save Nick simply tell Walter that Nick's a good idea. I also showed Nick the picture and told him he should tell Walter the truth, but read that you don't have to do that.

I've read that Carlos dies if you choose to do nothing instead of side with Rebecca or Alvin inside the house, but I've also read that that is a lie.

All other deaths in episode 2 happen regardless.
