How did ... survive?

After meeting him in ep2, I was really interested in how he actually survived. He mentioned giving Christa hand and being lucky. However, in my playthrough, he was stuck in the street and not in the scenario he was talking about (dropping Ben). Is this some kind of bug happening only to me or it happend to everyone?

    Any way you slice it in Season 1 it seems really difficult to believe that Kenny lived. Even though his "death" did not happen on screen. It's a bit of a stretch in my opinion but it was always possible he lived. He gets surrounded by walkers and you hear gunshots and whatnot but you never see anything happen to him.

    Well, let's see. Taking the Ben version alone:

    • He was in an alleyway with a horde of walkers approaching from either end
    • He had few to no bullets left, and only the empty gun to fight with
    • When we last saw him, he had about a second before the walkers were on him
    • We heard nothing afterwards but the walkers shambling around

    Taking the above evidence, the answer is pretty obvious.

    He got lucky.

    And by 'lucky', I mean he spontaneously developed the ability to teleport.

    I agree that right now it seems very implausible but hey, maybe he'll offer some explanation later on. And it IS a game after all. They can do what they want. He didn't die on screen = he can live.

    yes it does, but back then i also wondered how lee got back to the rooftop so quickly in the playthrough where kenny allegedly "sacrifices" himself for ben.

    I am interested to see how he survived as well. His fate wasn't looking good from that alley

    Without replaying the scene with Ben the only logical assumption I can make is that he went down a manhole we couldn't see. The Christa one is easier to grasp as a construction site is quite large with many possible exits.

    For the last however many months people have been guessing he jumped through a window, hid in a dumpster, pushed his way through, went down a manhole, etc... I'd really just rather not speculate at this point and wait for him to tell his tale.

    I was hoping of seeing some kind of a flashback how he managed to get away from the alley/building. That would've been interesting.

    It's true we haven't got a detailed explanation as of right now. But in ep 3 it's more than likely Kenny will tell everything in detail. From the looks of things, they will be locked up a while.
