How does _________ die?
I just played Episode 2 and managed to get through with Alvin and Nick still alive. Couldn't save Walt though 
How do both of them die? If you keep encouraging Kenny to shoot does Carver start killing people one by one?

Nick dies if you don't tell Walter he's a good guy. Remember that scene where walter shoots the walker that's trying to bite Nick, if you don't tell Nick is a good guy Walter lets Nick die (Nick survive in my gameplay too, I just read it on the wiki)
ALvin died in my gameplay :S If you go to find Kenny and Luke there will be a moment where Carver has Alvin at gunpoint as a hostage to make Kenny and Clementine give up, if you tell kenny to shot he will hit Carver and he will look dead, BUT he will get up and show Kenny just shot is shoulder and he will shot Alvin in the head.
I believe Alvin dies if:
Go look for Kenny- you convince Kenny to shoot.
Give yourself up- you don't go to his aid (stay silent or just tell Carver to stop).
I believe Nick dies if you don't show him the picture and don't convince Walt that Nick is actually a good person, or some combination of one or the other or both.

i got both alive too but Nick died if u hide the photo of walt and matt to him, then tell walt he is like anybody else, later on Walt will hesitate to help Nick and the zombie kill him i think, for Alvin if Clem told Kenny to shoot Carver he will miss the shot and Carver will shoot Alvin in the head.

To kill Nick, You must tell Walter that Nick is "just like everybody else" or stay silent, which result in Walter not killing the walker that grabbed Nick.
To kill Alvin you must tell Kenny to take the second shot when Carver is threatening Alvin.
So does that mean Nick and Alvin are doomed to die next ep?

That's what I'm wondering now....
In Ep 1 I saved Nick thinking it was another either/or choice, but then they revealed that both of them could survive if you picked Pete.....
Aaaaand then I find out Pete dies anyway.
