General Poll: What do you think is better? - Possible Spoilers.
Wont put a spoiler tag on this one, but I will advise anyone that hasn't played season 1 to keep weary.
In The Walking Dead, what do you think is better at this point on?
The obvious or surprise?
Telltale did a good job of throwing a twist and surprise nearly at the end of EVERY episode at season 1, keeping us surprised.
however with season 2, they seem to be taking the obvious route, specially with the ITUWD person..
now people are speculating a certain someone might be a traitor..
with something like this, do you guy's think the best choice for you, and reaction is to be
"I KNEW IT!"
or a "Oh damn.. I was wrong"

I love the curveballs personally. But honestly my playthrough of Season 2 so far has thrown a lot of curveballs! Maybe I'm just oblivious haha Like I didn't make the Matthew connection until it was blatantly obvious. I guess I was just really immersing myself in the moment of the game. I've also experienced a lot more guilt trips in these season, which I both hate and love. Like when Carver picked up the picture of Sarah I had taken, and when I chose to sit with Luke instead of Kenny and Kenny makes that face that just forced me to replay that part and choose him, I just wanted to slap myself sometimes lol. And seriously, I only cried twice in the first game (SPOILERS Duck's death and Lee's), but during just these first two episodes of season 2 I've been a total baby. Omid, the dog, any brief mention of Lee, and GOD when I saw Kenny I had to pause the game just to sob into my cat. This game gets me right in the feels!
Episode 2 was probably the best so far. However the first episode is meant to represent the season and there was alot of obvious stuff if you caught the right signals. With season 1, Telltale kept this well hidden.
how was you supposed to guess a family on a farm was cannibals? that just pops outa nowhere! heh :P
Yeah, I definitely prefer the curveballs. In all honesty I wished they had left the "I though you were dead!" quote out of the trailer, I was kind of expecting it to be Kenny so it ruined the surprise and instead of going "Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG YOUR ALIVE", I was more like, "Hah, we were right lol!".
So far I've been able to predict what was going to happen far ahead of time(And btw, I did try to immerse myself, although its hard without the character interactions. Also, I'm 13 so its not like I'm much smarter than Clem lol). I knew Mathew was Walters friend, I knew Rebeccas baby was Carvers, I knew the ITUWD person was Kenny and I knew that Pete was going to die(Telltale is lazy lol), so not much of it was like, "Oh crap!". Then again, alot of the lets-players I watch haven't been able to work out much before it happened, so maybe I'm just over analytical since I visit the forum so often :P.
you sobbed into your cat? dang your face must've got covered with fur afterwards...
Yeah.. I visted the forums alot when season 1 aired and honestly, everyone was almost ALWAYS wrong so we always go surprised. The problem is clearly telltale, they're keeping alot in the obvious to allow us to pick up on.
I agree man the ITUWD person would of been alot better if it was left out the next time trailer.
Episode 3's next time seems someone more akin toa season 1 trailer, so I expect good shocks from you telltale!
