George and Carley
Or should I say Carver and Clementine?
I'm just wondering if you guys noticed this little thing. When you meet Carver for the first time, you can ask him what his name is; which he'll say is George. As Clementine, you can also say your name is Carley when he asks you what it is.
A little ways down the road, when Alvin is being held hostage at gunpoint, Carver says something like this: Remember George? You killed him in cold blood, and for what? Just because you don't like me?
So...both Carver and Clementine using the names of their deceased friends. I chuckled a little when I found out.

and why Carley too? Clem could of chosen any name or even made up one, but she chose Carley? I find that to be rather interesting.
Uh...never mind this comment. Website error. derp
Telling him your name is Carley is just one of the 4 options. The other 3 are " What's YOUR name?" "(Close the door in his smug face)"
and telling him your real name. :v
Remember that they don't really meet a lot of new people any more so thinking up names is pretty hard, especially for Clem.
When Rebecca asks you what the intruder's name was and you answer "He said his name was George", Rebecca will look slightly shocked and Alvin will look away, with a sad face. Wonder if Alvin feels responsible for killing George.
I think George is Alvin's friend, like Carver said. And it seems that nobody in the cabin group knows who George is. That means nobody knows Alvin killed George. So maybe Carver used his name just to warn Rebecca and Alvin.
Interesting parallel. If we're to believe Carver, the circumstances of their deaths could be very similar. Alvin kills George after disputes with Carver. Lilly kills Carley after disputes with Kenny/Lee.
Looking forward to presumably finding out more about this in episode 3. Does Carver have legitimate reasons to hate the Cabin group?
At first i thought it was Telltale making a nod towards the first season and to show that Clementine is still effected by everything that happened. Not just Lee's death.
Now i'm thinking it also exists to subtly suggest similarities that these characters have gone through similar trauma (Carver/Clem) and Nick/Alvin may not be much better than how Lilly ended up.
Well, it seems they all have a shady past involving Carver, so I think they will have to tell Clementine what their deal is in the next episode.
Well, to me it doesn't really seem like it's the cabin group he dislikes, but the group Clementine brought with her to the cabin. It seems Carver is the father of Rebecca's child. She ran of, and then he will take her back with him. Other than that, it seems he seems to have a past with Alvin. Killing Walt seemed quite like a random kill for him.
The Cabin group is Carlos and co, not the sky lodge guys.
She managed to make up "Ed" pretty easily when asked about her "father".
Ed WAS her father's name.
I really would have liked a timed conversation where you could choose to answer Lee or Ed
What happens if you close him the door?
I still had the option even though I chose Doug so I dunno....
Ah right, forgot about that shit. It was only mentioned like once, and as much as I've replayed and watched the game, how in the hell do they expect us to remember that?
Iunno.
Carver leaves and we live happily ever after.
Well, maybe doug wouldnt suit her since you know... she is a girl?
PS. this was a response to rigtail
Damn I need to rewind.
Hihitwd, if you choose to close the door he just stops it from closing and lets himself in anyway.
Same here. I chose Doug, and I have that option. Could be an oversight by Telltale, and of course, It'd be weird if Clementine said her name was Doug.
"Doug?"
"...My dad was holding out for a son."
Rofl, that should have been in the game.
George and Carly huh?
Both murdered in cold blood...
I couldn't expect more, thanks.
