The Walking Justice
Shawn, Doug, Mark, Larry(!), Carley, Katjaa, Duck, Chuck, Ben, Lee, Boyd, Omid, Pete, Matthew, Walter, Nick, Alvin... I think when it comes down to life and death, it's not fair. It's not fair that the nice people die and the a**holes survive.
Once it gets to survival, most of your identity doesn't mean sh*t anymore.
In the wild, survival of the fittest slows for no man...

What do you guys think? Is it really necessary to be a good guy in this world? Do you think being the good guy is only speeds things up for your death? Or do you think being bitter and having a cold heart is good thing?
Assholes are usually willing to do more things than that of someone who is nice, so it kinda makes sense that they would survive longer.
Being a good person in a world full of bad means you don't fit in. You are given situations in which being a bad person benefits you more. There are plenty of them in the games so far. So, if you choose to do the right thing, it probably won't benefit you as much and you will die sooner.
I'm just so nice as Walter
They kill off nice guys for plot twists because it's unpredictable, like:
S1EP3: "OMFG I LOVE THAT GUY OMID!"
S2EP1: "WHY?!?!? MICHELLE YOU FUCKING BITCH!!!"
You didn't see his death coming did ya?
Good guys die, bad guys die, the only thing that makes a difference is bullet- and biteproof armor.
People don't understand what Darwin said by Survival of The Fittest. Most people believed that he meant that the strongest will survive, when in many areas that is not the case. A probably more accurate translation to modern English of this phrase would probably be, "Survival of Those Who Can Adapt." The strongest normally don't last that long, but those who can adapt and change according to a situation, they have a chance at surviving. I don't know why the kill off the good guys all the time, why don't you kill of some not so good guys, Telltale?!
S1EP1 I like Carley.
S1EP3 WTF LILLY GODDAMN I HATE YOU, (I'm to nice and let Lilly come with my and than she stole the RV and I was like, BITCH... Well she is not coming back.
S1EP 3 Omid I like you, you are a good guy.
S2EP 1 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! GODDAMN TELLTALE!!! and than Christa got a angry pregnancy attack and I was like. Fuck! poor Christa
I think The Walking Dead World works like that. You're showing a mercy, no matter how much bad person he or she is, you decided to spare her or him. But in the end, it becomes clear that the only thing can kill you is your humanity. I'm not saying we should be the bad guy. I played Lee as a good guy in the entire season, and playing Clementine still the same way. But if I learned one thing from The Walking Dead, is that no matter how much Good shows mercy to Evil, Evil always the one who backstabbing you.
Maybe because all the bad people have already adapted, and that's the very reason why they're even bad
Always darkest before the dawn but lets be honest are no good and bad people just survivors in a zombie apocalypse. Every once in a while a hero is born that defeats all evil Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and badass Jesus Christ etc. In this particular tale it's Clem the world destroyed her taking her childhood, her friends and her hope but she survived the impossible. She must rebuilt her mind master her lessons and become Rambo the events and decisions lead to this destiny she will kill last every last walker watch so good always win in the end
Michonne and Lilly a hand please!

I'd like to believe that. But I think not in this world my friend.
Personally think good always win in the end definition of evil is always picking bad moral choices which we all have the potential to do. If look at all evil always reason behind their motives never believe someone is beyond redemption look at Lee a murderer who then became a hero.
100% agree good points
They kill good guys because we like them. Not that many people like purely evil characters, I mean... If the Stranger died in front of you, what would you say ? Something like "That'll teach you moron !" and the shock value would be pretty small.
If someone likeable dies like Carley or Omid then you're stomached, angry, sad, depressed adds a lot of adjectives...
That being said, it doesn't excuse it, damn you Telltale
As common as this question might seem I think it shows one flaw in the game.
Someone playing white knight during his playthrough will see almost no change compared to someone who did "what had to be done". Say, you let the St Johns brothers alive for X reason, you have absolutely no retribution or vengeance coming up, and if I was a St John even if I wanted to eat someone, if they killed my mom I'd be pissed and seek revenge but somehow they just vanish.
I'm hoping TTG will make me eat my words by the end of season 2, like if you gave water to that guy he ends up being an enemy or something like that. Because as of now you only get GOOD things out of being good, and that's just not realistic considering what kind of world this is. I really wish something like "that one time when I've been soft" will come bite me in the ass. I'd feel devastated if by my fault, because I refused to believe this HAD to be done, someone I like came to die. It would be fantastic in a story-telling POV.
If Lilly comes back I'll torture her..
The Stranger wasn't purely evil, just psychotic with a "false" sense of justice. Real evil means no morals at all, just living according to your own wishes and taking liberties in everything.
There are more nice guys than assholes, for starters. But assholes tend to die a lot too. In fact, they HAVE to die, 'cause they're assholes. The ones I can think of are: the St. Johns, Larry (the nicest asshole in this list), plenty of bandits (if not all), Crawford, the Stranger, Michelle, the scavengers from S2E1. Hell, Carver and his men will probably die at some point too.
This is a horror videogame, so it has a high body count. It's no surprise a lot of nice people don't make it, but I think we remember it more because it bothers us. Noone cares about the bandits or all those people in Crawford, so we are pretty quick to forget about them; but noone's gonna just let go of Omid's death.
I can think of one situation where it does come back to bite you in the ass. In Shel's story (400 days), if you let the guy go, his group attacks yours and one member of Shel's group dies. It's fairly insignificant in the long run but more choices like that would probably be more realistic.
True, but in that case it's about a character you've known for what... 10 minutes at most (including those few minutes in S1) ? Even though Boyle seemed like a good guy you can hardly say that the player had any real "connection" to him thus negating any sort of "what have I done ?" feeling. You know what I mean ?
It'd be awesome if there were more things like that I think.
You can call it however you want, giving a little girl false hopes about the safety of her parents and make her travel miles in a world as dangerous as it is just to get revenge is evil.
People that kill convicted murderers for revenge or whatever, even though what they did could be considered their own sense of justice it doesn't prevent it from being wrong and evil. It's like you're saying "everything he did was evil but you cannot call him that."
Anyway, what I meant is, your typical player doesn't get emotionally attached to an "evil" character thus killing one doesn't bring this shock value that is so vital in games like this. I didn't necessarily say the Stranger was a purely one-dimensional evil character, just that from the player's POV he is the main antagonist and thus evil.
Revenge is evil, lying to a little girl to "protect" her isn't´, that's just a distorted moral compass.
Actually I'm pretty sure at first the Stranger wanted to kill Clementine, he wanted Lee to see how it feels to lose "a daughter" like he lose Elizabeth. He wasn't lying to protect her, he lied to attract them to him and make them suffer, how's that not evil ?
It's only after a while that he became completely insane and wanted to make Clementine a substitute for his daughter, using this "I can do a better job as her dad than you" excuse.
What if she rescues Clem or Kenny from some dudes with guns or Walkers and say and she means it. I'm so sorry what I have done: Will you forgive her
I have a feeling you would be a cool guy to go drinking with, lol. But, in all seriousness, I think your right, whenever evil is born, there is always someone trying to stop it in some way. Rebels, reformers, anarchists, civil rights leaders, or in this case a badass little girl.
I'd rather do the right thing and die being respected by others who agree than ruining people's lives in order to save my own skin, and eventually being remembered as an asshole. So just think... the question is more, would you rather have your grave spit on or would you like people to remember you as a kind and generous person?
Side note: Being a bad person can mess you up. If the world was ever to get better, you can't really change from your bad ways. The zombie world is bad enough and it needs more good people.
Dale: "When the world goes to shit, at least i can say I didn't let it bring me down with it"
Thats how my Lee and Clem are.
