What do you think Clementine would be like without the Apocolypse?

I hope she'd still be nice

  • Are you implying she wouldn't be nice without the apocalypse?

  • wow, that a good question... I think she would be ALOT more innocent and less afraid. and she would not curse. cuz we all now she is starting to curse.

  • She would visit Lee in prison

  • No, I had to put a body paragraph in so I put in the first thing that came into my mind of a lot of Teenagers, rude and selfish.

  • If anything, the apocalypse would amplify those traits. Look at comic Carl.

  • Yeah kinda surprised me a bit when she cursed so much in EP2. She certainly wouldn't be as brave as she is now without the apocalypse. And i picture her as a little shy as well (out with the apoc)

  • Just the same in the beginning of season 1.

  • With that mind of hers she would be a scientist, or a doctor or an engineer or something, like her parents.

Or you know, a teacher, like Lee. (Even though she wouldn't have met Lee if not for the apocalypse)

But now she's a Survivor. At least Lee would take comfort in knowing she achieved that much with what he could teach her in the time he had.

  • God this comment made me chuckle...

She would visit Lee in prison

  • She would be the little sweet girl you found up in the house tree. Really innocent and sweet.

If it wasn't for the apocalypse you wouldn't have the sassy, grown ups outsmarter, badass Clemmy of today.

  • Well, she would live in a normal world and with her parents and I don't know if she would meet the characters but I can imagine she would hear about a teacher who got arrested for some reason.

  • That was pretty interesting, I'd imagine that happening somewhere in an alternate universe.

  • Probably still a psychopath.

  • As if terrible things only happen during an apocalypse...

With a doctor for a mother and an engineer for a father, I think she would have had a decent upbringing but probably would have been bullied in school. From her backstory, she spent a lot of time on her own in the treehouse playing make-believe, so she may have become very introverted and taken on some career requiring lots of alone time and little supervision, like writing or something. I'm not sure if her parents would have spoiled her and held back on the discipline as we don't know much about them, but Clem could also have grown into an unappreciative jerk who has a hard time connecting with people because she tends to use her smarts to prevent people from getting close.

Or she may have understood herself and her parents without being so egocentric and grown up to be a really cool, self-disciplined woman.

  • Clem tends to learn things by watching people or overhearing conversations,So she'd probably just be like most girls.

    Continuation:

-After a long trip back home and as they drive into the highway, they see a commotion in the middle of the road.

-It was a police car that had crashed due to a civilian randomly crossing the highway.

-"You know what I think?! Fuck you!" The police officer shouted at the civilian. He had a large balding spot on his head with his white hair.

-And just outside the car, a man sitting along the sideways. The man seemed sad while twiddling his thumbs. He was wearing a light blue shirt, had a beard, and was handcuffed. Intrigued, Clem looks at him suddenly taking interest in him. She felt something.

-For a moment, the two locked their attention towards each other. Then another moment later, they look away.

    :(

Her parents having extremely successful carrers, I think she'd develop into a bright young lady.

She's creative and smarter than most kids her age when we meet her [Duck and Corl anyone?] , so I'm sure she had a bright future ahead of her.

Since the outbreak happened back in 2003,I'd be eight years old then too, so she'd be the same age as me today. It's kind of weird.

She seemed to have a creative and imaginative personalty before the apocalypse by spending time in her tree house making up stories with her toys and drawing, without the stress of the situation that she is in she would probably be quite artistic and creative, her parents where quite smart with good jobs (a doctor and engineer) so she would also be pretty smart, her parents where good people so would encourage her to pursue in the things she likes like art and other creative activities.

  • You know what would be a plot twist but also kind of a dumb ending? If TWDG seasons 1 and 2 were actually some imaginary stories made up by Clementine in her treehouse and in real life, Lee is her dad, Luke is her big brother and the other characters are Clementine's neighbours.
Yeah, that would be kinda silly.

I don't even want to think about this. Even if Lee had survived, just how different might she have turned out?

  • This thread is making me so happy.

  • You just had to be THAT guy, didn't you?

  • Sorry, that was meant for the ending comment of the first page.

She'd have quite the gory imagination if she did just imagine all of that up in her treehouse at eight years old. Although I do like the idea of Lee actually being her father and Luke being her big brother. It would be silly, but a happy ending as well. Poor Clem...
