That's one of the reasons I actually liked Command & Conquer: Renegade. You didn't need a mouse to play, but freelook was always an option; you also had the option of first person or third person camera view, plus the gameplay unlocks were straightforward and simple. Also the maps were well made even by today's standards. Lots of open spaces! (Except the 'Hourglass' map, terrible mapping glitch that puts Nod at a ridiculous disadvantage)
ok now one of the best is Call of Duty World at War! Keifer Sutherland is the dude that narrates campaign mode, so thats amazing. oh, i don't know if this is an FPS, but all of my friends say Portal is an awesome game.
tbh, I didn't really think much of Metroid Prime 3. It just felt like a bit of a chore, wasn't a fan of going between different planets rather than just exploring one big one, and the final boss was so long and boring D;
...as so far they are the only brilliant FPSs I've played. I've played Halo, Bioshock, GoldenEye and Timesplitters 3 and they were dissapointing. I found them very boring and repetitive.
i've decided to finish bioshock, i still love the exploration, the controls aren't as tight as i thought they were. its still a great game and i love the story.
i've also been playing cod5 which i prefer the multiplayer of compared to cod4, despite several glitches ie the one on castle where you can get out of the map

Aren't the Command and Conquer games RTS?
Well, it was the first FPS i played where you could kill by shooting in the head.. pluss it had bows and arrows.
Yes, but Command and Conquer RENEGADE was FPS, it was cool though.

Basically what everyone listed about them is the reasons I love them.

That sounds AWEXOME!!!! Someone get a Volition programming team on that s*** right now!!!!!
EDIT: It would be even better if they handed it over to some developer no one's heard of to do their spin-off!
