Sarah gives the title of the song ("Good King Wenceslas"). It's a song about a king who is feasting during a religious holiday. He sees a poor peasant gathering wood outside in the snow. He asks where the peasant lives, goes out in the cold to track him down, and helps him. The song ends with the moral that those who help others help themselves too.

I have no idea what thematic bearing that has on the story/Carver, but anything's possible. Considering what happened to Walter (a very generous and "saintly" figure), I'd guess the song was just foreshadowing that something terrible was going to happen. That's how TWD seems to work. A good, uplifting song about taking care of others starts playing? Then you can guess that the one player who embodies those kinds of traits is sure to die ;P
