Did This Bother Anyone?

Okay, I can't be the only one that this bothered. The "sit with Luke or Kenny" option. The choice itself didn't bother me, but what followed after the choice. You sit with Kenny. Luke emits a downhearted look, but I felt like he understood. If you sit with Luke. Kenny gets upset and gives you a look of disapproval followed by a:

(?) Kenny will remember that

Did this bother anyone else how understanding Luke can be and how indifferent Kenny can be sometimes?

  • That's Kenny for you.

  • Well man, thats Kenny for you, where were you in season1?

  • I thought he would be different to Clementine. You know? Since she's 11. I thought Kenny only treated a grown man like that, not a little girl.

  • Well, if you give up hes also bitching about that in ep3 preview. Fact that his first shot gets Walter killed does not stop him to shoot more until Carver takes Sarita. Kennys hardly a nice guy.

  • It didn't bother me. Kenny was just being Kenny and always wears his emotions on his sleeve. I would have been surprised if he wasn't disappointed or irritated by it.

Clementine did spend longer with Kenny than with Luke's group and you where reunited for the first time in around 2 years, the least you could do would be to sit with him to eat dinner, Its not really a look of disapproval but he is sad that you didn't choose to sit with him.

  • It does annoy me how he is treating Clem like that. In my ep3 preview he was angry with me for giving up but what did he actually expect from an 11 year old girl?

  • I'm just scared that one of these times that Clementine disagrees with him, he's going to not help her when she's in danger.

  • That's just the way he is, Kenny he is a great dude but he's not the most Comprehensive guy out there.

  • I can understand if he's mad at Lee (a grown man) if he gave up at that situation, but it's Clementine we're talking about here. Would Kenny rather have put Clementine in danger than for her to give up and be safe?

Objectively speaking what you say is the best way to take the reaction. But we've all got our past experiences with Kenny to draw on, so I can understand some people being leery. I won't look too deeply into the preview scene until I know the context of it (assuming it's even in the final cut).
