Was Russell with Carlos and Sarah at one point?

Russel mentions that he was in a group with a man and his daughter around his age at one point. Do you think they could have been Carlos and Sarah? It's probably just a coincidence I think it's an interesting theory

    Sarah isn't really around his age she's 15 he is probably like 20

    I'm pretty sure he was a college student plus not all guys are tall

    Russell was also part of a gang that robbed and murdered people - and this was before he met Nate, so back half a year or so into the apocalypse or less. At that time Sarah would have been 13, whereas Russell was at least 18 based off his graduation photo.

    So, uh, doubtful. Plus I thought RUssell mentions that both the girl's parents are alive?
