Do choices really matter?

When TT said that our game is tailored by our choices it didn't actually mean it will change the story. This meant that whatever choices players made in the episode will be collected by the TTG's system. TT said that we as the player determine what will happen in each episode.

Even if you do all mute choices the characters still reply with the same things they tell you if your not choosing mute choices.

Example I never told carver nobody was at the house, but he still managed to say it when I was mute.

I don't know. Does choices really matter?....

  • Choice in video games is an illusion at most it contextualises different situations but everything that happens will happen and there is nothing a player can do to change it. I still enjoy the choices even if it is an illusion.

  • Of course they matter!
For example, if you don't agree with Kenny he won't come with you to find Clementine but if you always agree with him then he will come with you.
Yeah this won't change the story dramatically but i'd definitely say they matter.

  • Yes it does, in some way. It "tailors" the players' gaming experience based on what choices they make. Although it can't really affect and change the course of the story, but let's not forget, it's Telltale who's telling the story and not us. And remember, it's not the destination that matters, it's how we get there is what really matters.

  • The choices matters. While it doesn't changes the story as a whole, the choices changes the character's perspective of you within the story. You are building a relationship with the characters and some you get to decide their fates. I think Season 2 are better at making choices matter, namely the water bottle and the watch. Most importantly, when I play the game, I pick the choices that matter the most to me.

  • I think next ep will show whether they've improved how much choice matters. If Nick and Alvin both dont get taken out and the 400 days cast have varying fates I think thats a major improvement over last season.

Last season wasnt bad on choices
