Take Us Back ... Foreshadowing?!

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

I was re-listening to Take Us Back after listening to my new favourite "In The Pines"
and noticed something.

The first paragraph seems to be relevant to season 2 so far.

"So we'll find a mountain path on down the hill"
Luke and Co want to live in the mountains and was their destination in episode 2.
Kenny arrived and started talking about Wellington.
"Meet me where the snow mount flows"
Seems relevant to this, if we're to assume the episode 5 slide is wellington, there is quite alot of snow mounts around.

"It is there, my dear, we'll begin again"
again, another quote relevant to Kenny, as he's postive wellington is a place people truely can start a new life and rebuild society.

The second lyric
"Skipping Stones
Briading Hair"
Is probably relevant to season 1. Them all being at the Motor Inn and ...being happy

  • The song was made a few years before the game came out

  • It's a nice idea, but I seriously doubt that telltale fully planned out the story of season 2 at that point.

In the pines is great though, and the title related to the episode just like in the water did with episode 1

  • I've also noticed this to some extend. Granted, it came to my attention first. Still, I can't help but notice TT and their 3 words titles, on the episodes and on the credits songs apparently, "Take us back","In the water" and lastly "In the pines".

Not really relevant to the topic, I know. But still worth a mention.

  • Indeed. Doesnt mean Telltale cant form events around it. Making it foreshadowing.

  • Yes, but they fully planned out the story NOW. That's my point. Most of this stuff didntcome relevant till episode 2. Which is what I'mtrying to say..

  • All songs also have some relevance to water. Or atleast winter..

  • That's actually a TWD comic book thing. All of the volumes have three word titles. It is interesting that the songs do as well. I'd assume it's a coincidence, but it's pretty cool.

  • I have nothing to contribute...altough this looks like they were giving us a hint..

  • Now I really feel stupid I didn't make that connection, considering I'm almost up to date with the comics. Still, as @stevean2 said, the songs do seem to be connected in some way(lyrically speaking) so I think it's safe to say it's not a coincidence.

  • I remember when Lee ended up in the sewers during Episode 4 and he finds some dead rats? If you clicked on them with the hand icon, he'll say something like "I ain't touching that! Last thing I need is some God-awful disease". Remember what happened at the end of the Episode?
