About Russell's former group.....

Steve
A Teacher and his wife
A cop
A guy with a daughter about Russell's age

Why would TellTale waste their time describing each if these characters unless they had some sort of relevance in the story besides Nate making an inappropriate joke? At first I thought that maybe Carver was Steve and his name was Steve Carver but that is obviously not the case. So, do you think Russell's former group will ever make an appearance or were they nothing more than to give Rus a back story?

    Seriously though, I think they are only details in Russel's story. We'll find out in ep 3, I guess.
