We don't know much about Luke, but he's been good to Clem so far. He and Pete saved her life, and he stuck up for her against the group about the dog bite.
There's also minor parts to when he shows he cares about Clemmy: he was there to catch her when she was climbing the ladder, he went out to look for her at the beginning of ep 2, he fed her, sympathizes with her about her past, and on the bridge when nick fired the bullet at Matthew, he shields Clementine. There's three more episodes to go yet, and I can definitely see Luke saving Clementine again and being more of a protective big brother to her.
Yeah, he will probably end up with a dark past, did something regretful - but hasn't everyone?
I like Kenny too, and I trust him - but I can't really see him being a father figure to Clementine. Lee's already done that. They hardly spoke to each other throughout the whole of season one, and it seems now he wants to replace Katjaa and Duck with Clem and Sarita. A bit creepy, if I'm being honest.
He and she took out two walkers on the bridge, even when they could've gone back, and proceeded forward.
Regardless, you don't go on recon across an old bridge without risk. It's inherently dangerous.
The rest of your defensive explanations are middling ones that are more excuses than anything else, further they ignore the deliberate design of creators who continually reinforce and put on display prying and endangerment and the themes they reinforce.
In closing, you're not advancing the conversation with this tack and should try a different one.
he didn't intentionally put her life in danger. It would have been smarter to take an adult instead, but unless he planned to fall through t… morehe bridge that part wasn't planned. I agree that he made her take point in negotiating, but he also did his share of talking. he said the first sentence, and then Clementine said 1 or 2 things, and then Nick showed up. Luke was right next to her ready to back her up that whole time. as for trying to get her background information, that's generally what people do when they make conversation. It seems logical he would have told everyone to watch out for nick, and not just Clementine. He only enlisted her aid in the murder cover up because she had the knife. if Alvin had it he would have told Alvin to go get it. he didn't know what Walter would do, and he was attempting to keep his group safe. I can't say where he went at the end of episode 2, but all your other points are easily explained.
all this from a Kenny fan.
People automatically hate you now when you tell the truth to their faces
Hahaha holy shit, if irony were electricity you could power Detroit on this statement alone...not that SaltLick305 would ever get it. Besides he said he left, right guys?

That's just it, all the things you listed happened because they constantly want Clementine's help in everything they don't want to do themse… morelves, things that should be done by people older than 11. And in return Clementine can't even have a proper response about Carver and the group's past with him. Who is he? What was life like in his camp? What did he do to them? What did they do to him? Why did they leave Why is he following them?
It's either bad writing or they have just a bad character.

Since this little chat took a lighter turn Im gonna take the chance to ask you.. Why the hell do you keep bringing the downvotes up ? You keep mentioning how you are getting dislikes which highly implies that despite you constantly stating you don't care about them they actually deliver a psychological blow to you.

It would satisfy me a lot, if Luke turned out to be the bad person I believe him to be. But it's obvious TT has planned something different for him and just couldn't deliver it with some credible writing. He wil be the one, who turns out to be brave and goodhearted and courageous all along, even if he kept some secrets (but he will explain why he didn't tell Clementine about it and all will be fine again)l He will come back and ( at least try to ) save the day. And then he will either die oh-so-dramatically or just disappear again so that we all can eagerly await his return in season 3. And all the terrible situations he brought Clementine in and all his carelessness towards her will just be forgotten or even explainable and excusable.
He must be the worst written character in TWD ever.
People automatically hate you here when you tell the truth to their faces, that's to be expected so harvesting downvotes are kind of exciting!
But the communal obsession with likes and dislikes is forum rot. The posts I've seen here are hilarious:
"Who downvoted me!? Why am I being downvoted!? Let's all get in a thread and give each other likes! Let's post a bunch of gifs and me-too posts so we can give each other likes! Wait guys hold on why are we now getting downvotes!? Bunch of trolls downvoting! Go ahead downvote me fine whatever... Yeah well we'll all give each other likes to make up for it! Yaaaay!"
They mean absolutely nothing, foster bitchy immature mentalities in a forum community and actively harm any important discussions that could happen waaaay worse than someone like murab or whatever that hhhhhhhhhh guy's name is.

I'm agreeing so hard with this post right now. I've seen quite a few users here going like "Oh looks like I'm being downvoted. Oh well, that's fine because I don't care about downvotes. In fact I'm gonna derail this thread and post as many gifs as I can while complaining about trolls to prove how much I don't care about downvotes." It's getting pretty annoying.

Sarah is also too naive to be deceptive, I think. Nick might could be, but he's too busy screwing up to be duplicitous.
My Clem somewhat trusts Rebecca because Rebecca gave her so much shit at the beginning instead of seemingly eagerly trusting her. She was rightly suspicious and Clem prefers that to the super sketchy YOU CAN JOIN USSSSSSS thing she got from everyone else.
I agree only because Sarah is too sheltered to do anything to harm Clem and Nick cares too much about what people think of him to harm Clem. Although, he has messed up a few times.
Season 2 has already the unreliable looser guy who fucks everything up (Nick), people who might hit the panic button and go crazy ( Sarah and probably Kenny) and the big bad of course + some henchmen. There's no space for a "duplicitous, weak, equivocating shitlord", as much as I want it to be.
But we'll see. For now I'm sticking with my calculated pessimissm.
I trust TWD not to go fully Maury Sue or Marty Stu or whatever the kids call it with Luke, they wouldn't fuck up that bad.
They can make … moreinteresting, fleshed out ambiguously heroic characters like Kenny.
Why couldn't they make duplicitous, weak, equivocating shitlords like Luke?
I know, they hate me for telling the truth to their faces. This is perfectly understandable.
But every single time they downvote, every time they huff and puff and howl in agony as my posts burn into their corneas and my words crawl under their skin like so many squiggling ants...I know that I've reached them. I'm inside them now and, despite all their protestations, they can never truly leave me.
It's like how you keep saying you're leaving the thread but...for some reason...you never do...
I think the people who downvote you everywhere are just SOME of the users around here that strongly dislike you, Which brings me all the way back to my first reply to you.
Because I have manners, You keep replying to me and Im not just gonna turn my back on someone because I don't like what they are saying. The only way I'd truly stop replying back to you is if you were being an Asshole, And surprisingly you're not being one right know.

maybe he did. that is one thing that continually bothers me about Luke. why didn't he take backup onto that bridge? why just him and an 11 year old girl? nick offered to come! actually... wait. I know why. it was so Telltale could add in a couple of q.t.e. sequences. that's why.

Because that same user lashes out personal attacks against those who think differentky ? Fair Enough.
How come you don't like when people do to you what you do to the others ? I ain't no judge but that's hypocrisy in my book.
Let's just drop it. We've been arguing for three hours about something completely unrelated to the game.
My last petition/point is : Get your shit together, If you feel like you're good enough to insult others and dismiss their opinions don't be angry because they clashed right back. Whatever rights you think you have everyone else does as well, That includes getting involved when someone is being a Douchebag for no earthly reason.
Why are people so surprised that Clementine has the most responsibility? She is the protagonist after all. It would be boring if Luke had Clem stay with the group. If Clementine wasn't involved in every fighting sequence then the game would be useless and hardly anyone would want to play it.

You're projecting your own anger again, which is fine, I understand and excuse it as a necessarily defense on your part.
Your complaint about the argument being unrelated however is an eyeroll considering it's something I repeatedly tried to steer you off since you began the conversation. Alas, your stubborn pride and misguided need to try and play Sheriff is what perpetuated and exacerbated the derail.
But what's puzzling in your umpteenth goodbye post in this thread is you seem to think I'm somehow surprised or perturbed at the aggressive argumentation and spirited responses to my initial post that, all the while, revealed terrible opinions held by the opposition.
What exactly did you think I was fishing for?
...nevermind, SaltLick305. You're a terrible poster.

No. He went into one of my threads with a poor attempt at derailing it and get a reaction from the 200 people that were there commenting on that thread. Then when he made his las thread I told him how I felt because he was spammig the forum with 5 similar threads despite having his main one, He came into TWO of my threads.
No disrespect but next time you want to get involved make sure you know exactly how it happened.
Is anyone actually a good "Poster" in your eyes ? That's all you say, "You're an awful poster". Is this like a new rule or something ? Let m… moree see, Whoever doesn't agree with you is considered a troglodyte that knows nothing about life.
For a guy that prides himself In being a smartass repetitiveness is killing you. What you're saying about Luke is completely banal and makes no sense, Take into account I don't even like the guy Im actually a Kenny fan. You basically dismissed people's opinions by saying their vote doesn't count just because its contrary to your belief and that argument is terrible, Instead of Trying to be soo smart maybe you should start learning how to become a better person or "poster" as you like to call it.
Why are people so surprised that Clementine has the most responsibility? She is the protagonist after all. It would be boring if Luke had Cl… moreem stay with the group. If Clementine wasn't involved in every fighting sequence then the game would be useless and hardly anyone would want to play it.
Just keep this in mind, If he hadn't gone into TWO of my threads just for the one purpose of annoying me and the other users there who he knew disagreed with him I wouldn't had clashed at him when I got the chance. Nothing like starting an argument and instantly realizing you're wrong...

This isn't a campaign on who should become president. I just want to know what the community's stance on the issue is. It doesn't matter who wins. This is just a simple poll for me getting to know who the community would rather save. You voting for Kenny several times serves no purpose. It doesn't matter if Kenny wins by 90%. I'm just collecting data and comparing it after each conclusion of an episode. I want to know how people's reasoning to save a character changes and how many people may change their mind about saving the character that they chose after each episode. Accomplishing this task is difficult if one person votes for one character several times.
This is just painful to watch. Its TWO people against me and Im still having my way in this chat that's what happens when you base on lies and self-made stories.
I'm sorry, Saltlick. I think there's no need for a response. I said, what I wanted to say. And everyone who wants to know more about it can go to gettingworse's thread and see for themselves. And I don't have 3 hours to waste arguing with you, since you will answer and answer and answer even if you're running out of arguments.

I really REALLY hope Telltale won't force us to pick between Kenny and Luke.
I voted Luke on the poll, but if the choice actually appeared in the game I have no clue what I'd do.
I like them both. I need Luke as Clem's indecisive bro and Kenny as Clem's mustache-uncle.
