Kenny's story

Because a lot of people were upset about the lack of detail of Kenny's story, I thought I would offer up a theory about it.

So far in season two, there have been a lot of hints that Kenny has changed during the 16 month jump, the biggest being when Sarita asked Clem if Kenny "seemed different." I also noticed some changes in his behavior. He seemed to laugh more, which is odd to me, because I don't recall him laughing once in season one. I think his stubbornness has gotten worse, pouncing on Nick at the dinner table for no apparent reason at all. Maybe it's just me, but he does seem different.

During Clem and Kenny's conversation alone, when Clem asks him where he has been, he started to talk and then sort of paused and just said "Long story short, I got lucky...real lucky." It was almost as if he wanted to change the subject.

I think something big may have happened to Kenny during this 16-month period that changed him dramatically. Hopefully we will learn about it in the coming episode. Maybe I'm looking into it a little much, but I'm bored and just want episode three to come out.

  • I understand what you mean. He certainly has changed. The stuff that happened in the 16 months must have been bad enough that he doesn't want to talk about it. I'd like to know more about why that is in the next episode.

Nick started it, he called Kenny's idea about Wellingon "bullshit".

Yes, I found this odd and his statement was very vague, that was one of the reasons why I sat with him, I wanted to know more on how he got "real lucky" explanation.

  • He's unstable. I feel like there's a facade of happiness going on at the ski lodge, like he was just trying to cover over his past and as long as he didn't think about it things were okay, but I feel like finding Clem again and being sent to Carver's camp is going to trigger a lot of his old bitterness and bring it back in full throttle. It's going to feel too much like the Motor Inn to him and it's going to drudge up a lot of memories that he was trying to suppress.

  • I actually think its worse. Sarita seems to think his entire behaviour is different so maybe he did act differently unitl clem showed up. And when Sarita found him he must have been almost insane given how he and Sarita talk about it.
