Am I the only one?

Was I the only one that when you are turning off the turbine that thought the situation a bit strange, sarita and carlos couldn't put a key on a botton? I thought that it was going to be like a puzzle, something to think, but then, we just had to put the key.

  • We could try giving them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to them not being able to see in the dark and the approaching walkers... or assume that they know Clementine is omnipotent and decided she'd get the job done faster.

  • Yeah they couldn't see anything, thought it'd be harder than it actually was, thought fuck it and felt that the walkers would be easier to deal with.

I think we all find it strange. Well, someone needed to hold off any possible walkers coming, right?

  • I would say it was in somewhere in early development days a puzzle but they cut it out for being "harder than backwards batteries"

  • Well, if it had been the reverse situation (Clem standing watch and the adults trying to figure out) you would have people saying it was dumb because they were making an 11 year old do all the work guarding them. Damned if you do...

It doesn't seem that ill-fitting, honestly. My biggest concern with it is that they're going to consistently make characters around Clementine slightly incompetent to give the player more of a role. I hope this doesn't happen.

  • In my head-canon, Clementine is doing everything in her power to prove she's more than capable of surviving and being treated like an adult. It's why I always kill the bigger Walker when told not to by Luke. She's not only trying to prove it to the new group, she's trying to prove it to herself. I admit, it's an overly simple puzzle, if you could even call it that, and Carlos is more than happy to let Clem do it for some reason, both of which are strange, but it at least makes sense for me why Clem would want to do it.

Telltale: What?! You guys said you wanted 'more puzzles' and some time to talk to the characters at your own pace!
