Lee - No matter how you try to play him in S1, he always comes out being a fantastic human being who made a mistake. Every step he takes is a redemption.
Omid - Always knew when to crack a joke, and when the time wasn't right - hell he cracked them anyway.
Pete - He calls it a good bullshit detector. I call it being an honest, decent person - maybe one of the last left.
Kenny - He can be an asshole, but no one is as loyal as Kenny. If you stand by his family, the man will die for you.
Ben - He screws up, but Trevor Hoffman did a terrific job on his first VA experience. His monologue if he lives through Crawford is... Godly.
Molly - She's a badass, but she also knows a lot about being human. Michonne's parallel in this story.
Christa - She looked after Clementine, even after everything she'd been through. You owe her that.
Luke - A good guy that feels Clementine deserves to know what's going on.
* Clementine - No further explanation needed.
* Lee - No matter how you try to play him in S1, he always comes out being a fantastic human … morebeing who made a mistake. Every step he takes is a redemption.

* Duck - He... I know, but... He called me Batman.
1, Obviously Clementine. Fantastic character, which has made most of us care for her as if she were a real child.
2, Duck. From the moment he gets bitten, I found myself wanting to save him. Even though I knew it was futile. Then I was dreading the outcome.
3, Lee. I can't fault the voice acting. Here was a character that you knew would do anything to keep Clementine safe.
4, Kenny. Yes he has his faults, but so do real people. No one is perfect and that's what makes him so believable.
5, Campman. Now some of you maybe surprised by that choice. For me though, he was the ultimate threat. Something that Season Two has yet to accomplish. Stalking the group, planing revenge, drawing in Clementine, unsettling the other characters. Also, he wasn't down and out evil. He was doing what he believed was right. His own version of justice if you will. Then the ultimate payoff, the confrontation between him and Lee was compelling and unnerving. Brilliant.
6, Omid. I still believe that the quick killing of this character in Season Two was a mistake. He had so much more mileage, and imagine if he had met Kenny to.
7, Pete. I also think that this character was killed off too quickly. He was brilliantly written and again the voice acting was suburb. I know people die in The Walking Dead, but telltale have five episodes in which to do it. Besides, this shock value they are keen on is starting to get old.
8, Sarah. Again some maybe surprised, but in the past I have worked with children like her. So I know her characterisation is spot on. Telltale must have done quite a bit of research there, so fair play in that respect.
9, Walter. I think it's a brave decision by telltale to include gay characters. There is still much antagonism and stereotyping towards that section of the community, so it's good that telltale portrayed him as no pushover and intelligent. Instead of prancing about in pink trousers, mincing around the ski lodge, as a comic relief character. Which some games and television programmes are guilty of.
10, Luke. Although I think his character needs more fleshing out, I believe he has the potential to be one of the most remembered in The Walking Dead. I hope to see more sides to him in the following episodes.
Clementine for sure. I'm joining in on the "name your daughter Clementine" train.
Lee. Kenny said it best: he had a fire in him. A fire in him that was naturally there despite our differing choices.
Kenny. I know there are a lot of reasons to hate him, but I spent most of season 1 trying to stay on his good side and I succeeded. I think if you talked him down on the train you'll understand and like him more, but that just might be me.
Christa. She kept Clementine safe for over a year, she was a bad*ss pregnant lady and a leader too.
Omid. Miss our comic relief.
Luke. His friendship with Clementine and the sassy way they treat each other is hilarious.
Molly. Wicked cool, loyal to her family.
Walter. 2 pure for this world and his words will definitely be a theme for this season. plus, pretty nice gay representation.
Carley. Gah I should have put her up higher, but I love her, her attitude, her outspokenness, and all that.
Clem - Probably the most 'real' feeling character I have ever encountered in a video game. I don't think I've ever been more concerned for the well being of a virtual character than I have with her.
Lee - Convicted killer, but the best father a kid could hope for. With the way his past is mostly vague until the Stranger conversation, with how he more or less sought redemption in the eyes of himself through caring for Clem...one of the greatest protagonists I have ever played as. He would have done anything for Clem, and he did.
Chuck - One of the most all around good guys we knew for the short time that was. You deserved better, old man. Probably one of the more important characters too, seeing as Clem probably wouldn't still be around if it wasn't for his advice.
Kenny - The dude lost everything, but he keeps on going. Disagree with him or not, you have to respect that.
Nick - He's a screw up, maybe, but I think he's one of the best written characters of season 2. Even with the slips he's made I find it hard not to find him sympathetic - especially after his monologue about how he knows he's just not built like the more resilient folks like Luke etc. are. While not the most capable, I trust him more than a lot of the other cabin group members.
Lilly - I do think she only meant well, but the stress of doing that broke her. I loved the dynamic my Lee had with her after helping Larry, right up to when she snapped. Still a bitter moment, not just for Carley, but for Lee and Lilly too. I got the sense the two of them would have been able to stick together through a lot if that hadn't happened.
Luke - I like his dynamic with Clem so far. I'm starting to see a brother/sister relationship forming here.
Omid - Always brightened the mood. You ruined that dude's face.
Eddie - Well, he reminds me of how I'd be in the zombie apocalypse, haha.
Lee: I don't know..just everything he does is just so awesome!
Chuck: I LOVE Chuck! He told Lee that he needs to teach Clementine how to survive. Without Chuck, Lee would have taught Clementine (If he did at all) when it was too late. Alot of people seem to forget that.
Kenny: I know there are alot of reasons to hate him. But, he was here throughout the entire first season. It would have been hard not to get attached.
Christa: Yeah, she is bitter towards Clem now. But, she must still love her, otherwise she wouldn't have kept her alive for so long.
I'll edit this when I think of more

Omid. Omid was my bro and was great comic relief. Everyone needs that! I really hoped he would have met Eddie. They would have made a great comedy duo.
Carley. She's great with a gun, keeps your secret but advices you to tell the people you trust. She cares deeply for Lee and Clem. She even says no to food when you have to ration it out and would have been a great surrogate mother for Clem!
Eddie. The story in 400 days was Wyatts but Eddie stole the show for me. We might not know much about him but he reminds me of Omid in many ways actually - providing comedy and showing a caring side. Plus being awesome.
Vince. I swore to myself I wouldn't like him because I felt he was like a replacement for Lee but that guy is awesome.
Luke. He just seems like a really nice guy and I love his sibling-like relationship with Clem but he does need a bit more fleshing out.
Pete. I'm sad he didn't get more time. If it wasn't for him we probably wouldn't be alive in the first place. I chose to save him and was hoping he could have at least made it through episode 2 having amputated his leg.
Molly. If it had been Lee's decision who to take with him on the boat,
Christa. Keeping Clementine safe for over a year despite being pregnant, loosing her husband and eventually her child aswell. Girl deserves a medal!
Honorary mention: Bonnie and Chuck. I feel like they should make the top 10 but they just fall ever so slightly short.
This might seem like a stupid list but imo putting anyone in a list with Clem and Lee does them both a disservice. Their both head and shoulders above any of the other characters.

10.Walter
Actually, if you stand by his family you have to select a specific conversation option for Kenny to 'die' for you, which isn't really loyalty.
In Kenny's case, you have to stand by HIM nearly all the time in order for him to offer it.
Plus, if she really hated Clem then she wouldn't have tried to protect her when the bandits asked.
Honorary mention: Bonnie and Chuck. I feel like they should make the top 10 but they just fall ever so slightly short.
