The Deal with Time skips...
I don't see the problem with these time skips. It's not like it's anything new: The Walking Dead Season 1 had several time skips of its own.
Episode 2, there was a three month time skip. Nobody seemed to have a problem with that.
Episode 3, a one week time skip.
I agree they should keep skips to a minimum, but a five day time skip is probably the shortest we've had in the series.

I hated both time skips, honestly. The first one shocked me it was so long--a year and four months of Christa and Clem wandering around and being depressed? That feels like such a long time for nothing big to happen. I guess it was because they wanted Clem to be older but jeez. Jeez.
The five day time skip could have at least had one damn moment where they stopped to rest and build a shelter or something, like come on. It could have been a good potential for relationship building.
I don't mind time skips but I think they are overdone in both the game and show
The issue with skips, no matter how long, is that we feel like we are missing valuable information or events. Like Skoothz said, 16 months just seems like such a long time for nothing big to happen. We want to know what they encountered, the things they did, the strain on their relationship after Omid's death. It just felt like a lot of potential was wasted with that skip in particular.
i hated the time skip....because it's like an easy way to move the story along without explaining. I personally wanted to carry on where season one left off with Clem on her own either after the jewellry store or on the hills looking at the distant figures....all the questions will now be unanswered of what went down,we didn't even get the joyful scene of Clem reuniting with Omid and Christa....but the Omid death and 16 month gap just sucks....,i like how Clem has changed don't get me wrong, but it does feel forced.
