Opinions on Sarah?

I like her actually. Yeah she's not the most likable character in the game but her only problems are her panic attacks, probably asthma and her father. And for her uselessness, she has more acceptable reasons to be useless than Ben imo,

  • Sorry about my poor English. I just can't figure out what you mean "Aliens, dude. Aliens." Could you please help me and explain the meaning in a lucid sentence? I'd appreciate it. :P

    Aliens, dude. Aliens.

  • I see the whole Carlos/Sarah relationship acting like a contrast to the Lee/Clementine one from Season 1. Where Lee taught Clem how to live in this new world of survival, Carlos is sheltering his own daughter away from it, dooming her indirectly in the process. There's no greater line in the game that hammers this point in than when Clem tells Carlos that "She has to grow up sometime." Because of this, Sarah is more like Season 1 Clementine, full of curiosities and optimism.

  • Well actually, as of episode 2 of season 2, she is probably starting to get the picture. She watched her dad get tortured right in front of her and she was bawling the whole time, so clearly she was upset by it. She also seems to know more than Carlos lets on. If you try to lie to her in the cabin, she realizes you're lying and knows Carlos told you to. She knows Carlos tries to lie to her to keep her safe, so she probably knows what's going on in the world too. Just, she probably hasn't experienced much of it first hand if any.

I really need to see what she's like after the whole Carver thing to make a proper call on what I think of her. Right now, I don't really

  • Every time I watch that scene, I can picture my concealed-carry instructor turning purple.

Nice, well meaning kid, though her mental state may prove difficult in future. I do think her dangerous in an absentminded way, however. I mean look at her with the gun. GODDAMNIT SARAH, IT'S NOT A TOY.

  • I don't think that's asthma. Just hyperventilation because of a panic attack.

I think she's sheltered and she may also have asthma, but I don't think she has any actual mental illness. =/ She can be annoying at tim

  • I've gotten really attached to her (I know that's a bad idea, since this is twdg, but I can't help it) and I want to protect her. I kind of want to treat her as I'd treat a younger sister.

I'd like more interactions with her, but I've enjoyed the screen-time Sarah's had with Clementine so far.

Clem's mature and self-reliant, but after everything it's kind of nice to see someone who just wants to be a kid with her, and maybe get some insight on things her father is reluctant to talk to her about.

  • Does that mean I am a foreigner? That's what I understand. Anyone help here? English is so difficult. :(

  • Maybe, but that still supports my theory. :D

  • I don't hate her but I don't exactly like her either, in fact, she sort of scared me a little when she out right asked me to be her friend. I didn't like her in Episode 1 but she got better in Episode 2.

In some ways she is somewhat like Duck; she's annoying but only because of her naivety, Duck was more annoying (I found).

She's not one of my favourites by a long shot but she is somewhat likeable. At the end of the day, she's a naive, slightly annoying kid who's been sheltered by the world that surrounds her which isn't bad because she's just a kid. I would be sad though if she were to die.

  • I don't hate her either, but my feelings toward Sarah are like a mixture of pity and annoyance, and that's probably due to how I'm playing my Clem, which is fairly hardened and thus, not really having time for Sarah's childishness. I have been upfront with her and wanting her to be informed of what's really happening/able to protect herself but like others have said, I think her shelteredness is going to end up badly for her and probably someone else so I'm already bracing for impact.

  • Jesus, NO! What kind of jackass do you take me for? Besides, my first language is spanish, not english.

  • I was just kidding. ruairi46 was joking when he mentioned that Sarah would kill Carlos. This happening seemed so crazy to me that when you asked why would it happen, I answered "Aliens", which is even more crazy.

  • Thank you very much. You're cool, very cool. I was just thinking that there might be some grammar mistakes in my sentences which exposes the fact I'm a foreigner. Lol. Because when I looked up my dictionary, it said "Alien" has the meaning of "foreigner". :) My poor English. Lol.

  • It would be nice if TTG made something bad happen if you taught her to shoot. Just to mix things up a bit.

  • shes ok but she almost shot clem

Or they could do both. Have Sarah use it to effectively kill some zombies but she accidentally shoots someone later. Then as Clem you get to try and argue for her right to keep the gun with Carlos.
