Something I noticed about the last moments of the episode.
In the last moments of the episode, when the Tweedledee and Tweedledum are pumping shotgun shells into Bigby, and you are turning into a wolf, you do not have to press any of the buttons, it just makes things faster. You still turn into a werewolf, and you still get the choice of whether or not to kill Tweedledum. Then, when Bloody Mary shoots you, and is about to kill you with the axe, you do not have to repeatedly press Q, Snow White just stops her. You can literally sit, and press nothing during the entire final scene, (aside from the kill/spare Dum choice) and you will not suffer any consequences. Telltale was to lazy to add in death scenes.

Uhh...Dude the effect is used to keep you on your toes your first playthrough if you get killed during a final scene like this it would kill the mood. :I
Whatever man... I still think that if they were going to add a QTE, they should make it so you can fail it, otherwise, don't add it at all, they coulda' made it a cutscene.
I actually agree. Considering the QtE as Mary is coming at you with the axe does literally nothing, I don't see the point of having it there at all. It's not like it even shows Bigby struggling to do something like in Episode 1, it's just to make your finger tired.
You know what else did nothing no matter how hard you tried? Lee's QTE. You know which one.
in fairness, when you in the QTE, you've got to admit that it got you worried and made you feel frantic. It's just there to raise the tension and make the player feel powerless, which I think they nailed at the end
Trouble is, when Snow stops Bloody Mary you can then see through that and it brings the tension down. And afterwards it's just annoying to have it there when it does nothing.
I think that if they didn't put the QTE there and just left you watching Bloody Mary slowly approach you, it would have been better in the long run (when you replay the scene).
Well this is the biggest difference between TWD and TWAU. In TWD their is more tension because your playing as Lee who is just a normal man and who can die easily like the rest of us. But in TWAU your playing as a fable wolf/Demi-god who is nearly impossible to kill i mean even if Snow did not step in and Bloody Mary did cut Bigby up he still most likely would have come back because he has before.
If anything we should be glade that Telltale did put any game over sequences in this game because they could have easily have went the Beyond: Two Souls route and not bother putting them in.
Oh come on. The purpose isn't about you having the ability to sit tight and watch, but get you into action, so you can at least see your own reaction yourself lol.
There was a point here, not just because they were lazy to plan some deaths.
Actually all the QTE in ep 3 dun need to do anything...
a few in ep 1 & 2 also dun need to do anything.
only 3 parts you actually die if u don't do something...
here's a video of all QTE where what if u do nothing.
To me, both games have the players as directors...
to indicate how they want the main character to look like.
the wolf with whether he's standing strong or on his knees panting.
TWD, is mostly about dialog directing... Action is almost the same.
except the latest part, where I think u can choose to avoid instead of gun blazing, haven't tried that path...
Why do people keep pulling out the lazy card? No, Bigby cant die so there's no point in doing a death scene but it really built up the tension and fear, especially when it was clear Bigby was too hurt to be able to get up. I think that was the point, to make the player feel that helplessness.
monkey sees the button, monkey pushes the button.
Ok but what you are saying has nothing to do with what im saying. I was just saying that TWAU may have a lot less death sequences than TWD because Bigby is just a very powerful character who is near impossible to kill. I disagree with the OP i don't think Telltale is being "lazy".
Exactly. I remember when I just mash and broke my bottom when I desperately wanted Lee to stand up and Clementine begging. I have never felt so helpless and powerless. I think it was meant to make you feel what Lee is feeling.
well, when I replayed it, slowly watching her approach without doing the QTE was quite unnerving I agree
I think they could have made a death scene and made you go back to try again.
What? :O
Bigby is not Lee Everett. He can't be killed like that. Did you see he took like 20 shotgun blasts to the chest and kept coming?
