I think a Gunfight is when both participants have a gun
I wouldn't call it a "game fail". Character statements aren't always meant to be taken seriously. For all we know, he just bragged about his skills.
Something similar happened in ep 1. Mainly because Bigby couldn't have been fooled about Snow's death. Then again, he has to be nerfed a little bit.
