i feel like even if he is alive, he won't be at the camp, I mean the 400 cast will be there, and maybe lily, so that much of a season 1 overload would feel really out of place. He isn't a fan favorite so there won't be fan service for including him. His inclusion won;t add anything except kenny threatening him to kill him.

Kenny was also said to be 'lost', and he came back. So if that's anything to go by, then Vernon could be alive.

Probably, but they don't say he's dead, just that the group fell apart. I don't see him having a reappearance. Unless Kenny gets pissed at Carver and calls him Vernon...
No, he is unknown. This is one of many mistakes on that wiki. We had hundreds more reasons to think Kenny is dead and he is not. I admit he is most likely dead after 16 months but still it can't be proved.
