Can i have at least one decision telltale, Please?

Hey so idk if anyone is doing a double playthrough... i am doing the opposites in each one, and I'm starting to notice that there is literally NO DIFFERENCE in what happens regardless of what you choose.

Ever since the mega delay of episode 2 it seems like they are just phoning it in and don't really care anymore.
I can't be the only one who is noticing this its ridiculous. Episode 1 was pretty awesome and its like wtf why are you guys giving up and making absolutely no choices whatsoever. And i know the whole thing at the end of episode 3 was a big choice but those aren't the decisions i mean.

i mean actually having tiny things matter and character dialogues react and change to situations. I'm just sad bc i really like the fables universe and if its going to be all David Cage about its choices then like idk don't give me a choice at all and tell the story YOU wanna tell.. You guys are doing it anyway so its like stop giving me the illusion of choice

What are you talking about? Depending on where you go in Episode 3, it's entirely possible to just miss some characters, and and can still choose how you want to deal with situations, which does change the reactions of the other characters. For example, making a deal or not with Jack.

Even just how you treat people. If you were nice to Rachael, then Greenleaf will remember it when you question her.

There is a lot of choice in the game, I've replayed Episode 3 three times now, and there have been several significant differences.

I will admit, Episode 2 was slightly disappointing in this regard. If you tore Gren's arm off, then Snow will not mention it at all, and if you're nice to Holly, she'll even praise you. If you threaten Toad, it does not come up when talking to TJ in Episode 2, even though it gave that (?) TJ is now afraid of the Big Bad Wolf message.

Still, episode 1 and 3 have been pretty good about the choices.

  • I recently just finished a double play through and I have to disagree. If you pay attention closely enough the characters do react differently (in most cases) based off what you say to them. It is impossible for Telltale to make 10000 different scenarios based off every little choice you have, but I think they do a great job in making most things matter

Go play some other game if you want your choices to put you on different branching pathways, Telltale's doing a pretty good job given the limits on the choices, and what the outcomes are, which are surprisingly numerous in number for this game! Besides, the season pass would have probably cost around 50-60 dollars if you wanted every little scenario to have different outcomes, so we're lucky that we can get what we can get for its current, and original price.

  • Well, you could always decide not to buy the game. I hear its completely different that way.

  • I applaud you my friend. Heres my upvote

  • The problem with David Cage, at least in Beyond: Two Souls, was that he didn't telegraph the things the player was affecting, not that he didn't add them at all. In fact, there was quite a bit of difference, but most players didn't realise because there was no way to know.

  • Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy are still the best compared to Beyond!
