Imagine if it actually turns out to be Alvin's baby though, despite what Rebecca thinks. I could see TTG pulling something like that. Would be interesting to see how Carver would react considering he's dead sure it's his.
It was confirmed to be Carver's
Aw. Well I guess that tosses my theory out the window.
XD
Claimed
Since when? I actually wanna know
Idk, ask around but someone confirmed it was Carver's
I had this same thought! I think it would be really interesting if the baby turned out to be Alvin's.
In one of the Vines that TTG posted before the season came out, Rebecca was originally white. I'm curious if one of the reasons for the change was so when the baby is born, we would be able to tell if it was Alvin's or Carver's based on its ethnicity. Though it would still be hard to tell. And would definitely make for an awkward conversation in-game.
Was it confirmed in an interview or by a staff member? (No offense intended, I'm honestly curious.) The only in-game evidence that I can think of (besides Carver and Rebecca both assuming it is Carver's) is Rebecca's comment about how she and Alvin tried for so long, since this seems to hint at impotency on Alvin's part.
As I've stated, I do not know, ask around
Huh, interesting. And yeah, unless TTG pulls a logical fallacy, there would really be no way to really know for sure who the father of the baby was based on the skin color of the newborn alone. It's not 100% evidence.
I actually want it to happen just to see Carver's reaction alone. He's been so determined to bring back 'his' unborn child to the safety of his compound, it just makes me wonder what he'd do if it turned out to be Alvin's. I honestly don't think Alvin will still be alive by the time Rebecca goes into labor, so he may just claim it as his anyways and act as the father figure in Alvin's place. I don't think he's morally corrupt enough to kill a baby.
Found it for ya on the TWD Wiki.
Dorian Lockett is Alvin's VA.
Cool, thanks!
I agree, I would love to see his reaction. It would be hilarious if the baby was OBVIOUSLY Alvin's, and Carver was completely oblivious and was like "Look at my baby! He looks just like me." And it even had Alvin's face model, mustache and all.
Joking aside, I think Carver doesn't really care about "blood relation" when it comes to his family. He views the entire cabin group as his family in his own twisted way. And it's hinted in the preview for E2 that this extends to his entire camp. He might be pissed, he might do something to hurt Rebecca, but I think he would still claim the child as his own.
I thought this was pretty obvious. I would sit here and talk about misspellings but anywho, it's obviously Carver's baby, it's already been made clear, case closed.
I just really hope that we actually do get to see the baby (and it's not stillborn) because i'm really curious as to what a baby model would look like in this game since we are yet to see one. I doubt we wouldn't be able to see it though, given the amount of attention that has been brought about whether the baby is Alvin's or not.
If the baby isn't Alvin's then why Carver beats him up in the trailer? However I don't think that Carver actually needs a reason to hurt Alvin other that he hates him I'm afraid.
So a wiki edit is proof now? I mean odds are it's the case but I was hoping for something like a tweet from a writer or something.
Edit: Nevermind, found the real source.
Not exactly 100% evidence, but it's the closest thing I could find to proof on the subject. Feel free to search for yourself, maybe Dorian has a twitter account or there's been an interview done on him.
edit: Oops, didn't see your edit
Well Carver did say that Alvin murdered a guy named George, which was supposedly one of Carver's friends. That's probably why Carver beats the hell out of him, if Carver himself did that of course.
Not seeing how since all we can see is her hand and Rebecca is light-skinned anyway. I think they'd have decided her race from the get go just because they'd have to rely on logical fallacy to prove the child's paternity. Goodness knows I get exasperated when people use skin tone to determine race but that's likely how they're going to do it.
Edit: Actually, they could just have Rebecca come right out and say it. That would be the easiest and most definitive way to put things to rest for all involved.
Turns out there's an interview one of the wiki contributors did with his VA. Its a bit spoilery (though nothing we couldn't easily guess) so I'll just post the relevant part:
What do you think about the character "Carver"?
Carver is a bitch. He knocked up my woman.
