Playing dead episode reveals ep 3 length?
In the newest playing dead episode with Erin Yvette, Greg Miller says that he will give bonnie half the episode to redeem herself, then Erin says "that's like 45 minutes" or something among those lines, do you think she knows how long the episode will be and she just revealed it?

She probably didn't calculate the whole thing, she just approached it fastly but i am guessing that we'll get like 90-100 minute episode.
Well, that's a waste of half an episode.
Hell, I hope not, they're short as they are, we don't need to change from "one-sitting entertainment" to "half-sitting entertainment".
i think she was referring to the time Bonnie is on-screen next episode.
Oh, and I think Greg did say "She has the first half of Episode 3 to redeem herself to me" or something like that.
I feel ya ,brah!
That's not what he meant..
You read it wrong
She's probably just guessing. Remember, this was recorded about 2.5 weeks ago. They weren't even finished recording then, so no way she'd know how long the episode will be
I hope you're right :P
Page 3 telltale staff aiming for 90 minute one sitting entertainment for now on so expect every episode like this

Me, too. This is no guaranty that the won't be right in the end, though.
Maybe not if it's a really good episode
You better get used to it, That's all we're gonna get from now on.
The episode will be short
Damn, man. I never thought I'd hear you say that.
C'mon telltale, you can do over two hours long episode!
It's not fun to wait two months, TWO FREAKIN' MONTHS for a new episode and then it is just an hour long.
Please, let this episode be over 120 minutes long!
Fucking hell, and I thought the episodes were getting shorter because Telltale was having some issues. That's just disappointing.
What's your steam name? I've some TWAU theories I want to discuss with someone but not on the forums.
Nah, it seems to be intentional.
The new approach seems to be "trimming the fat" of the episodes, it seems. I do think some of that fat is actually part of the muscle of the episodes, but eh.
MGS phantom pain what an hour for 40 euro .Then 5 euro for hour and half TWD does this also mean never buy another mgs game also gousttt?
...
Yeah, I saw that shit. Meh, the hell with it.
Jokes aside it just annoys me one person completed it in a speed run only took him 6 MINUTES absolutely joke just scamming peoples money for a demo didn't make sense also Tomb Raider ps4 HD version adjusted the brightness released same game and sold it for 80 euro more expensive then new releases for the same game with brighter colours just beyond stupid just gangsters lol
In my opinion, TWAU also suffers because of this. There was a thread back in TWAU section asking users about their favorite interactions with the other characters and the problem was, there aren't many, or at least not on the same level TWD s1 had. Hell, you can actually complete the latest ep of TWAU in 75 minutes! Regardless of how good it was, I can't help but wonder how much better it could have been with more dialogues in it.
I kind of understand their new approach regarding the puzzles, but the lack of optional conversations I do not. In ep 2 of TWD there were at least two opportunities for a chance to get to know the cabin group better. During the 5 day skip, they could have easily added a scene when the group stops to take a break. And there's of course, the ski lodge. I don't know, at least ep 3 does look like we'll get some character development, or at least I hope so.
IMHO, Telltale's trying to fix something that wasn't broken with the exclusion of hubs and optional conversations, and the idea of "single-sitting entertainment".
Feel exactly same about ports and can see lots of warning signs most definitely not heard much about capcom was it selling add ons which should been on the disk or something I heard but EA games are biggest joke all their games copy and pasted same games every year no improvements with short campaign agree with all your points though
Agreed
Oh yeah on side note when doing the underrated games thread such cool idea can't wait to contribute
I Don't care If the episode is 90 minutes as long as it's good.
You know, the problem I see with this particular argument is that we had (past tense) longer episodes, and you know what? They were frigging good, to boot. So...
A Telltale staff member clearly stated that they want people to finish a episode in one sitting. So their target length for every episode shall be 90 minutes. I wouldn't mind for a longer episode of course but I'm not going to get upset if I finish it in 90 minutes. If I didn't think the episode wasn't up to telltale standards then I would get upset. And that hasn't happened yet.
i dunno, the season 1 episodes I could finish in one sitting these ones just feel like a shorter sitting
Yes, we know they said that was their aim, and some of us are telling them we find that unnecessary. Maybe they will listen and change, maybe they won't, but we at least tried.
Length is just one of the problems, really, and more of a consequence.
They are taking too many projects into their hands I think, focus on one or at least two games at a time Telltale,I hope after they are done with TWD,TWAU,TFTB, and GoT they will slow themselves down and work on one or two projects instead of rushing to get things done,I have to be honest I can see why people are saying they don't think the episodes aren't as good as first season although I believe they are about just as good.
But if their new target is at least 90 minutes, at least don't have us waiting for 2 goddamn months to finish the game in under 2 hours, only to be left with a cliffhanger and then have to wait for 2 more months. It made more sense in Season 1, because the episodes were longer so they took more time, but having to wait the same length for episodes half as long is bullshit.
Telltale's statement on "We want single-sitting entertainment" tells us that they obviously know that we'll be done with the episode quickly, so shouldn't they say to themselves "Hey, since the customers are going to finish the game in about an hour and a half, maybe we shouldn't take as long on episodes that aren't as long as Season 1's episodes?" I mean, I finished Season 1's episodes in one sitting. And the reason I did was because, not because it was short, but because it got me attached. I didn't want to stop playing. I don't care how long the episode is, I will most likely finish it in one sitting as long as it has good quality. Now, I personally love the saying "Quality over quantity" and that's is obviously the case with Season 2. But then that brings me back to my first point, they should at least be able to finish the episodes faster.
And I know that they're working on like 4 other games, so I guess that is a good excuse. But I think, just as Saoralba131 said, that Telltale shouldn't stress themselves by working on 4 different episodic games. After the "seasons" of all of their current games finish, they should only work on at least two games at a time. Hopefully this is fixed when Season 3 comes along, that is, if there is a Season 3.
I think the questionable moments are really for the sake of drama to be honest and hey while they are very questionable they did get a lot of people, but I know how you feel sometimes I think that there isn't enough bang for my buck.
Yeah, I forgot to include that. But I bought the season pass, so that's kind of an exception for me. Not for everyone else, though. Which sucks, because there are tons of other people getting "ripped off."
I know. I mean, during that entire hiatus between the ending of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2, they should have worked on TWAU that entire time. They should have finished the game, and just release the episode on a one month time period. And then, they can start on TWD Season 2. And now Telltale has Borderlands And Game of Thrones to work on too. God knows how long until we get to see Season 3 if there is one...
I don't think Telltale will explain how Kenny survived that ordeal they'll just leave it as blind luck, but if they want to prove me wrong then they can go ahead, I think it is almost like the situation in the comic where a character survived an almost similar situation except they at least had more of a chance I'd say.
I certainly hope Telltale take note of this situation so they don't recieve more hate, they are a great company who make great games and they are trying too hard I think, they though they could do this but it looks like it is weighing down their content.
2 hours is the perfect length IN MY HUMBLE OPINION Telltale Games. - Sincerely your consumer.
I'm pretty sure the people who are VA record in one day. The lady who plays clementine said it takes her about 4 hours in a interview with either IGN or this little gaming company thing
(SORRY I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE CLEMENTINE'S VA I KNWO HER FACE BUT FORGOT HER NAME OMG WHAT IS IT)
