  • Virginia? I don't know.

Somewhere in North Carolina or Virginia. Mid-Atlantic in general.

  • Yeah, I kinda thought they were somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic.

  • Also, remember how in the first season Lee said his ex-wife was in Virginia? There is talk that the group is in Virginia and they might meet up with Lee's ex-wife. And, I think Clem might tell her off if that would happen..

  • I don't think Clem would realize it at first, but his ex-wife, maybe would try to get to know Clem and ask her questions and Clem would maybe bring up Lee and how he helped and found her and then she'd feel like shit for cheating on him.

  • That's what I was thinking! And maybe if she survives more than one episode, they might bond more. But we'll see, we'll see.

  • I hope Telltale will have really good ideas in mind for the next episode. Am I the only one who thinks somethings going to happen to Sarah?

  • No, I'm sure many other people here think the same thing. There's an achievement icon where you see Sarah's broken glasses.

  • The mountains they were headed to actually exist in south Virginia. So, yeah, South Virginia at the moment.

  • I kinda figured they were in one of the Virginias.

    Yep, they're in Virginia.

Since the mountain range goes kind of Southwest to Northeast, I think it might be Northeast Virginia... maybe.

  • edited April 2014

Considering the long walk and the fact that only a few rivers come from North Carolina, that sounds likely.

For some scale, North Carolina ends around the middle of Roanoke.

  • Coolio. Anyways, moving on: It took five days to reach the mountains, so let's do some math.

Average walking speed (according to wikipedia) is about 3mph. Oh shit. This map measures in kilometers. Alright. Give me a minute. Alright, 5 kilometers per hour. Much easier number to work with.

Assuming they walk a total of 8-10 hours a day, which, with Rebecca's pregnancy, would probably be pushing it a bit, they'd be walking 40-50 kilometers a day. Then, considering other bumps and misdirection, let's call it 30-40. So 30-40 times five days is 120-200 miles. That indicates to me, that the cabin is in what that map called Chowan, and they were headed Northwest to the Appalachians.

  • They're now in Virginia.

    Next stop: Michigan.

  • Sadly no... though, I mean there's probably way to make an educated guess on how long that bridge was, which can be seen on the map, to I guess make that into some sort of scale. I think there might even be something in Virginia (a lodge) that has a similar name that looks the same or similar to this one in the game because Telltale did that with the Marsh House in season 1 -originally called the Marshall House- and they look almost identical.

  • Just guessing by the distance of the mountains, and the angle of the river, I think that the lodge is near Lexington.

  • I think you may be right, Good job. Also, in that case, they are only roughly about 700 miles from Wellington. Although I doubt they'll actually make it there, it's just good to know IMO.

  • If they get a car, then that 700 miles seems much more feasible. In fact, they may even get one next episode. Then, the fourth episode will be them traveling, and the sort of "Starved for Help" episode, where it's more of a vignette of their travels than actually adding much to the story. Then, Episode 5 will be when their car breaks down, and possibly when they wish they stayed with carver.

  • I hope it happens, but it probably won't. They'll probably skip their travel, and say, "ONE MONTH LATER."

  • Probably so... I mean it'd make it a bit easier just because if we watch just a ton of random bits from the travels it'd be a bit boring, but after a time skip they usually throw the player straight into action or conflict.

It wouldn't have to be random bits. How about this:

The episode starts with some humorous dialogue between our heroes as they drive through an empty forest road. The time skips a few hours, and then they end up in a city. In this city, their car breaks down. They exit their car, and then have a grand old time doing whatever the fuck the plot is for this episode. If anybody stayed at Tavia's camp, then they wouldn't be in episode 3, but instead, this episode as their debut. They would do whatever, and at the end, if Shel had gone with Tavia, then there would be a section about finding a car, or some alternate vehicle. If not, then the group packs in her RV, and takes off, skipping that whole section.
