The Wolf Among us events mentioned in the comics

Well I just realized that in issue number 22 there is a scene in which Ichabod Crane is talking to Cinderella and he talks about the time when he worked with Snow and Cinderella mentions the accusations brought to him at the time. That's interesting, are the events from the wolf among us mentioned anywhere else? Just curious.

Not as yet. There are other scenes throughout the comics that are in flashback, either set a long time before the events of TWAU and Legends in Exile. But seeing as most of the principle characters in TWAU are not in the comics ( clearly there are a few like Bigby, Snow, Crane, Bluebeard, Bufkin etc) who are in the comics, but other characters like Gren, Lilly, Holly, Faith, Nerissa, Toad, the Tweedles and so on are (mostly) unique to the series. This gives the writers a lot of freedom to kill off people as they see fit, as we saw with the option to kill Dum (or not). Clearly Snow or Bigby can't be killed in the series, as they are major players in the comics and Telltale has told us that the games is canon to the comics.

But having read all the comics, I'm glad to finally get more information about why "Icky" left Fabletown.

Have you noticed all the other stuff in the background of the Business Office... The Foresworn Knight and Excalibur being two examples?

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I didn't start reading the comics long ago but I love them so far. Really really good series, got me hooked so quick. I'm thinking about buying other Vertigo comics too, Fable related or not. I heard the Sandman series is amazing.

  • Since you mentioned Toad, I forget which one, but one of the Toads died defending Fabletown during the Baba Yaga siege. Pretty sure he was among the fallen, but given the timeline, I'm not sure if it was Toad or Toad Jr.

Also, I saw Frankie's cage (the birdcage with the cloth over it).

  • NOOOOOOOOOO not Toad or TJ! WHY GOD WHY!?

  • I believe when Telltale was writing the storyline, they purposely incorporated that info from that issue to the game. The comics have been going on since 2002.

  • Since 2002? Where the hell have I been all these years!?
