Which do you think is the better choice for Clem?

Leaving Lee

When we make this choice we are thinking more about Clem and what we are saving her from having to do. We are thinking about her sanity and trying to avoid things she does not have to see. We also make the choice because we dont want Clementine to get traumatised by shooting things as it will change her. Lee tells her to leave and lets himself become one of the walkers because he does not want this little girl to be broken by being forced to shoot him. It also makes a point to her that Violence will consume her if she's not careful.

Shooting Lee

In this choice we are thinking about Lee and all the sacrifices he has made for this little girl, After all he has been through and done for his group and Clementine, He deserves to be at peace and not become one of the walkers. He also has to teach Clementine that things will be hard and that she is strong enough to shoot him and that she is strong enough to take care of herself. In the end shooting lee will teach clementine that life will not be easy buts she has the strength to face this world.

thought this would be a good topic since we don't really have anything else to talk about until an EP 3 trailer.

I'm part of the minority, I left Lee behind. Personally I don't care about being in peace by not being a walker, all I cared about what was best for Clem. I don't want her last memory of Lee would be killing him in her own hands.

Regardless of both decisions, they root to one lesson: teaching Clem that life from here on out won't be easy, so she has to be strong.

  • I left Lee behind, I didn't want to make Clem shoot him. Imagine killing the one last thing you care about in this world. I wouldn't have let her kill me, even if she wanted me to be in peace, I wouldn't want to make her go through that. Fuck it, Clem, just leave me behind.

I had Clem shoot him. Having to do that to a loved one is horrible, but I'd rather she know he's at rest rather than reanimated and still out there because she didn't do it. His last words were 'Don't be afraid...' for me, I like to think that was his way of telling her to leave this off her conscience and move forward.

Mind you I have no illusion of this being the 'right' choice. Both would be traumatic for Clem either way.

I put him out of his misery, I didn't want clem to think for all her life her parents and Lee became one of them, I didn't want her thinking that right at this moment Lee's body was a rotted walker.. I wanted her to remember that Lee helped her do the right thing for him and put him to rest the right way and avoided a fate worse than death... So I had her shoot Lee, after all Lee deserved that at the very least after all he went through to protect the people he cared about. I mean it wont make much difference.. Clem will most likely have to kill in Season 2, I was preparing her when I got her to shoot lee.
