Sam and Max Season One (Vista x64)

I just got the game and when i try to start chapter 1, i get a message that the game has stoped working. Nothing more nothing less.

On the back of the dvd-package i can find XP/Vista 32Bit, is it impossible to play it on 64bit? :confused:

I've found the resolution fix ( replacing prefs.prop ) but thant dont change anything at all.

    ive got a temporary solution, if i no-cd crack the game it works perfectly.

    what can be wrong? :S

    i got an original season 1 disc

    If it's working without the CD-presence copy protection, then that's probably where the issue was. The retail and Telltale CDs/DVDs use SecuROM for copy protection, so perhaps that was conflicting with something on your system.... and I'm sure plenty of people will be able to to tell you that they've had problems with SecuROM too.

    I never did, but then again, I don't have Process Explorer running and Daemon Tools I only run when I want to mount an ISO, I don't have it running all the time.
