Other Kirkman Telltale Games?
Okay, so I know this will likely be moved to the already existing thread, but I put it here for just now because everyone knows that the other thread for TTG game suggestions is practically dead, and this will get more attention here. Plus, I figure it relates, The Walking Dead being by Robert Kirkman and all.
So, what other Kirkman comics would you like to be made into Telltale Games?
Personally, I think that Thief of Thieves would be perfect.
For those who don't know, Thief of Thieves follows Conrad Paulson a.k.a Redmond, the greatest thief of his time(in other words, the thief of thieves). Right before the biggest heist of his career, Conrad quits, instead trying to get back the life he had with his now ex-wife who he still loves, and a now adult not-so-master thief son. Unfortunately, the F.B.I are still after him, and now many other criminals are too.
However, in the first book, "I Quit", it shows several flashbacks on heists that Conrad committed with his old partner James, who happened to be his brother-in-law. Already you've got the perfect set up for a Thief of Thieves game following Conrad's old adventures with James.
So... I'll be honest, that's all the other Kirkman Comics that I've read, but I hear Invincible is pretty good. But any thoughts on Thief of Thieves, or if anyone has read any of his other books, like Invincible or anything else?
Comments
I don't read it, but I heard of it, should I?
I was thinking how funny it would be to have a Super Dinosaur TTG's game because why not! I also thought of Invincible and how strange it would be for Telltale to make a superhero the star of one of their games.
Absolutely! It's fantastic. AMC and Kirkman have been talking about a TV Series, and from reading the comics, it seems like it would translate perfectly to TV. It's got plenty of great characters, dialogue, and the heists and plans that Redmond/Conrad are absolutely brilliant. Specifically, the third story-arc, "Venice" is insane. It's got some great villains too.
I've heard that they used to do a lot of comedy and ridiculous things in the old Sam& Max games, it might not be too odd.
That is a good point.
Cool, I'll give it a try.
Telltale used to be the kings of comedy point and click games! I would Love for another comedy adventure game from Telltale. Sam & Max season 4 will also do telltale.
Apparently that's was part of their reasoning for picking up Borderlands, they had a lot of "pent up comedy".
Yeah, they are really funny if they want to, can't wait for TFTB.
From Borderlands one, the universe did not impress me in the slightest. I'm going to get Borderlands 2 when I have the chance, so hopefully that convinces me that Tale's from the Borderlands will be worthwhile, even though I'm already sure it will be pretty good simply because it's telltale.
