    That's awesome! :)

    Thanks! Glad to hear the positive response.
    But yeah man, next to the Hugh Bliss costume I here about, and your gourd, they'd make perfect winners! Hopefully Telltale Games will either:

    A.Give something to all who participated
    B.Open 5 slots instead of tooty-two three.

    I'll hope. When are the winners announced?

    Are we suppose to get a confirmation email saying that they received your entry? I sent an email yesterday, a few hours before the deadline... I just hope they got it because there are freak chances where email ends up getting "eaten" by the internet... ^^;;;

    I don't think there is a confirmation email. I finished it last minute, and I sent it two ways the night before the deadline. I hope thunderbird didn't screw it up!

    I'm curious if anyone can make out the story from the storyboards :p it's very rough.

    Hows this:

    It's Halloween and Sam and Max are watching Nosferatu. Max is loving it but Sam as somewhat on edge, a sensation which is not eased by the doorbell ringing at a tense moment in the film.

    Sam opens the door to find three trick-or-treaters in adorable Telltale themed costumes and darts off to look for some treats in the closet. One of the trick-or-treaters is in dire need of sanitary relief and Max recognises him as none other that Whizzer! Seeing the diabolical evil in his crazed eyes, Max pulls his gun on the fiend!

    Sam, meanwhile, is still busy searching for treats. After finding a lollypop he turns from rummaging only to the three trick-or-treaters suddenly transform into three ethereal Soda Poppers that start flying around the room!

    Understandably Sam and Max are caught slightly off guard by this turn of events. Even more understandably Sam decides to hide under a table and hope that the situation will all somehow sort itself out. Max, realising then that their fate lies in his hands alone, comes up with a cunning scheme. He leans over to Sam and shares his brilliant plan to save the day.

    Time passes

    Sam and Max return dressed in a way that evokes the Ghost Busters whilst remaining different enough to avoid copyright lawsuits. Without crossing the beams, Sam and Max carefully trap the nefarious trio in some kind of trap-like ghost trapping device. The victorious pair return to their film and slowly drift off to sleep after a case well done, leaving one more trophy in the closet next to Lenard.

    Well Junaid, much as I'd like to day this is clear evidence of me being awesome, I think it has more to do with your talent for visual story telling :)

    Out of interest, what do the green numbers mean?

    IT BETTER BE!

    I'm wasting my time here when I could be out, savin' the load, savin' the load...I mean TRICKZ or TREATINGZ.

    I'm stuck here passing out candy to the kids that haven't shown up.

    If no one shows up, I'm gonna be disappointed. I was gonna throw candy at them from the roof....
  • edited October 2008
    Look at it this way... if no kids show up, you'll be home with a giant bag of candy.

    Too bad, I didn't win -_- oh well here's me entry:

    Actually, that's exactly what happened. Woot.

    By the way, great entries. I wish more of the H*R entries had been creative enough to be mentioned, though...

    Sooo...what do we do?

    I entered, but I wasn't notified yet. What do I do?

    EDIT: Whoops, I didn't notice that you'll e-mail us untill this weekend. So, a better question is, what do the people get (more specific details) who entered but didn't get a mention or grand prize?

    Those are for the backgrounds. Some backgrounds can be used more than once so numbering them is part of the planning :)

    We get a free downloadable game. I don't know if that means free NotRD, or any game, but I hope it's the second one. If it is, then if there's another similar promotion, I'll get all of S&M Season 2 for $8.95!

    Us too! The entries were noticeably skewed to Sam & Max, but I guess that makes sense since the Sam & Max fans have been at this for three years now. :D Hey Homestar fans - you have twelve months to get cracking on next year's entry!

    Everyone who entered will be getting a free game of your choice. I will be sending out the emails shortly... gotta pick up my Chinese food first. (I wonder if they'll give me candy instead of a fortune cookie??)

    Just got the e-mail! I'll be thinking.

    I'm so happy I won. *blushes*

    As corny as it sounds, the best prize I got today is when I visited Target, the mall, and my friend's sister's house. All sorts of kids loved my costume, even though they didn't know who the heck Sam and Max are. I kept getting stopped by kids and parents. All I heard is "doggy!" and "bunny!".

    Of course, I got the usual from teens and adults calling me McGruff and one even said "a bear in a suit". A few people knew who I was and even then, they whispered among themselves than greet me... -_-;

    BUT! Overall, I'm glad to make people happy or at least give them a chuckle.

    About the other entries, I was up against some tough opponents! A couple of impressive artwork from David Pym and Aleksander Vujovic. And those pencil accessories (I would so want one... or two... or three...)! And of course, I fav'ed the Youtube Trick or Treat video. Jeez, what I'm I talking about? Everyone who was picked was awesome.

    I hope you all (entered the contest or not) and Telltale had a great Halloween!

    Steve did. Unfortunately we didn't hear back from the Chaps in time. :(

    About 20 people in our office voted too, so there were a range of viewpoints represented!

    Wow, the winners were really great this year. I really wish I'd felt up to entering, too. But I'm sure you're not here to hear about my mental problems.

    I was also a little bummed that there weren't more Homestar entries. On the bright side, I have a friend who wants to get in on this for next year, so at least that's one more entrant? XD;

    I know what I'll do for the next contest! I'll dress up as Rick Astley and play Never Gonna Give You Up at the dance! What this has to do with Sam & Max, I'll never know!
  • edited November 2008
    I actually had an idea for a tearaway normal costume over a rick astley costume, for door to door rickrolling. High effort though.

    What I was thinking of was wearing a blond wig and some shiny bracelets over a Rick Astley costume. I would claim that song #5 on the soundtrack for the dance was some awesome song, then rip off the wig and bracelets. Then, "We are no strangers to looove..."

    Oh my... :eek: That is scary/creepy/correct.

    I dunno whether to call you awesome or some kinda psychic-mutant villan out to destroy the world!
    *pulls out Big Gun in case of the latter*

    Ummm... when do those who didn't win/get an Honorable Mention get their free episode? It's Monday now, so probably no where near what it said at the end of the blog for winners... so when? :confused:

    Umm.. I got an email from Emily the day after or so.
    So if you haven't got the email yet, it could be that your entry didn't came through or you will get one soon.
