I noticed this while looking at a 400 days playthrough.

It's probably not a big deal especially because the cancer survivors were around the area in episode four and they are also in Shel's group in 400 days but maybe it has some significance, or telltale just thought it'd be interesting to throw in there.

    I think the real question is, is how does an axe get a chip on the middle of the bottom? Chip in the blade, sure, but was somebody trying to use it to climb with?
