Did you close the door on Carver?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
At times, I want to play sassy Clem, and in this case he was intruding. I closed the door on him, but obviously it didn't matter. Clem's sassiness doesn't seem to affect Carver, and I'm not sure if it will affect future occurrences. What did you do in this case?

  • I didn't :P.Might do that later on another playthrough with different choices
  • I did it immediately. :p I want Clem to show she won't take crap from anyone, even if it's Carver.

No, I saw he had a gun and didn't want to make him pull it out until I have a better grasp on a weapon.

lol I saw what you did there. :D I thought that too at first, but then I remembered I have a gun also, so he better back the fuck off if he knew what's good for him. XD

  • I was playing the nice guy. Didn't want to piss him off, I knew right away it was Michael Madsen and though "nope, better not do anything to get me killed"
  • I didn't close the door purely because I thought no matter what he would come in because he is obviously much stronger than Clem. Props to Telltale for making the player feel powerless because I certainly did which is great.
  • I didn't lock the door, simply because I didn't saw the option on the screen.
  • I opened the door and greeted him. Didn't wanna make him mad.
  • I didn't. I thought it was Kenny.
  • We really don't have much to talk about do we?

I tried to lock that door but he came in anyways. Then, I tried to slam that shit and he came in anyway. AFter that my Clementine knew he was dangerous and needed to be very careful.
  • I fucking hate that word 'sassy', what does that even mean? Im sure there is a ton of alternative words in your vocabulary you could've used instead.
  • I didn't. A tough guy like him didn't look like he'd have had much trouble just breaking in, so I figured it would be better to avoid trying his patience. Plus, despite his unpleasant aura I didn't technically know who he was, so closing the door might have been a little pre-emptive.

I didn't close it, because I didn't think Carver is THAT bad. The whole cabin group has been saying that Carver is bad, but I've only know them for a while, I'm gonna play my cards right and see which team is better. Carver doesn't seem that bad if you get on his good side...
  • Thank you very much :)

Why so mad at me? :( It's just a word, no need to be a downer...I hear many people here refer to the bold choices Clem can make as "sassy", so I went along with it. Sorry if I annoyed you so much. :(

I was actually rather polite. I see no point provoking an armed man. Clem is brave but not stupid.
  • No need to be sorry to Pete. Just because a commonly used word annoys him doesn't mean you have to be sorry for using it

  • I just opened the door because from the trailer it looked like he was coming in either way.
  • I didn't, instead I shook his hand. But when he just pushed past me and said, "hope ya don't mind if I come in" that's when I told him that he needed to leave
  • Did anyone else try to grab the knife?
  • I door-slammed and generally did my best to kill/repel him with mute Clementine for shits and giggles, but not on my canon playthrough. Instead she was polite but not friendly, evading "George's" questions and countering with her own. Clementine slipped up a bit by asking about Christa, but overall it went smoothly.

I have a seperate Renegade/Evil save file with Clem but couldnt get my self to grab the knife lol, but my Clem is more of thinking pyscho, and grabbing the knife in that situation was anything but clever. My Clem also didnt give Nick the watch even though she had it in her backpack.

  • I guess I'm one of the few that was pretty full-on sassy!Clem (sorry for those that hate that word) with Carver. Slammed the door, told him I had a gun, didn't give him my name, went for the knife, etc. I didn't see a point in hiding that I saw through his b.s. and I wanted him to know Clem wasn't just going to be an easy mark if he tried to hurt her.
  • I closed the door on him because the moment I saw him... the only thing I thought was 'stranger danger'.
  • Jesus Christ this wait has caused us to talk about some pretty useless things that don't matter at all
  • your 100% right

We really don't have much to talk about do we?

  • That picture matches the high number of swag you have.

    Thank you very much :)

  • My name is George, My name is Carley. Ah touche.
  • Thx :) I must live up to my name,don't I?
