What will happen to *** in episode 3 of season 2?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Before I begin, if you don't wanna know anything about episode 3, THEN DO NOT READ THIS!
It already has a spoiler warning, and I've already given you warning with my bold text.

So with that said, if you read this, and you afterwards feel it spoils things for you, that is your problem, not mine.
I do not wish to see comments like: " Please edit the title," or, " this spoils everything," or whatever else can be thought of.
I've given as much warning as possible and if you chose to ignore it, that's on you.
And I think I've been completely fair.

Now on to business.

In the trailer for episode 3, Kenny is heard to be devising a plan to escape from Carver, which makes sense, and is in keeping with Kenny's character.
Things apparently go to shit, and at the end of the trailer, Kenny is seen saying this, apparently to Clementine: "Go on, you don't need to see this."

Now I've been thinking about what that could mean for Kenny, and if you've seen the trailer, no doubt you are too.

I think what's going to happen is, Clementine and the others are gonna become close to Bonnie, who's going to end up giving her life to save them, and Kenny is gonna have to be the one to euthanize her, before she can come back as a walker.

And that's why he visibly upset and tells Clementine she doesn't have to watch.

Or alternatively, either Rebecca or Sarita are killed, and Kenny has to keep her from coming back, and thus says what he does to Clementine.

But I do not think Kenny will die in episode 3.
I think he will survive and live to see season 3.

Comments

  • In my opinion, Kenny will unfortunately "bite the dust" but then again they wouldn't bring him back and kill him right off the bat.
  • Either going to be kenny killing someone or kenny getting killed. I think he might get killed by sarita, who has no choice but too.

He'll kick some ass is what he'll be doing.

I thought it was POSSIBLE he would die in Episode 3 but now after the trailer, I think we'll see Kenny push into Episode 4. But I wonder if he'll keep his sanity in check...

    this is my theory,

Carver was beating up Kenny, probably trying to escape.
So I think that carver was about to kill Kenny, but Clem jumps out to say something like "DONT DO IT"
    or "STOP"

so Clem runs twords Kenny but ten Troy bashes her face with the gun.

I'm pretty sure Clem passed out because the next scene looks like Clem just woke up and her face was already very swollen.

And if you look closely atte part wear Clem was getting up, at the top right corner it looks like sarin is trying to go to Kenny but is being held back.

Also if you look closely at the scene wear Clem is bein hoisted up with the rope, it looks like Kenny is leaning and putting his weight on sarita, (because he was beat up)

And after that there is a scene wheat Clem is hugging Kenny, probably because she was scared cuz she just got his and she almost saw him die.

    That's my theory.

I agree with you on that he might survive Season 2, although I'm hoping he will be determinant so Kenny haters can finally be quiet for once and have him dead and Kenny fans can get more Kenny, it would appease both categories.
  • You stole both of my ideas.
  • I can see Telltale killing him off ("Oh my God! They killed Kenny!")
But I would personally like it if he did survive and became the protagonist is Season 3.

I hope his death is not determinate, as then he's more than likely gonna die somewhere else down the line.

  • I think he's murdering Troy in the "You don't need to see this" part. If it's after Troy hits Clem, well, we all know how protective Kenny is of those he considers family. Imagine what would have happened had someone slammed a gun into Duck's face in the first Season. I don't think he'll bite the dust in Episode 3, as it's too early to kill him off just yet. I think he'll get killed in late Episode 4 or sometime during 5, but as for what happens to him in Episode 3 I think he might lose an eye. At several parts of the trailer, we see Kenny's face either entirely or partially obscured, most notable during the "YDNTST" part, and when Clem is hugging him after she's been hit by Troy. We may not know exactly what order these scenes take place in, but if I were a betting man I'd say he loses his right eye due to Carver's beat down.

Yeah, I just want an ending where Clem and Kenny both survive, and I think the best way to do that without pissing anyone off is to make it determinant. Maybe a Kenny or Luke choice in episode 5 or something, and whoever you chose would be the next guardian for Clementine.

I can see Kenny killing someone that hurts Clementine.
I'm not sure about the missing eye bit though.
And what do mean by the YDNTST part?
Not sure what that means exactly.

If Kenny is going to be killed off, and honestly I don't think he will be, I don't think it'll be for another season or two.
The reason I doubt Kenny will be killed off, is look how long Rick, ( on the tv show), has lasted, and how close Rick and Kenny's story's are.
Plus look how long Daryl has lasted!

  • I like that.
Especially the part about being able to choose Clementine's next guardian.
In that case, I'd choose Kenny!

I'm going to keep this short

Kenny will cause havoc and ruin Carver's camp/prison

Carver will wish he never kept Kenny alive

I strongly disagree making him the protagonist of Season Three. His character is very set-in-stone already and he's done some very stupid things that as Lee and now Clementine I would heavily disagree with what he does. I love Kenny, but he's better being an NPC. Clementine's personality being up to the player now works since she's grown up in a two year time skip and had Lee as an influence to her. Kenny on the other hand, is a man who has took charge and done some very irrational things. I'd play a DLC with him as the protagonist. But an entire Season? No thanks, I'd stick with Clem.

  • Agreed.
And I'd like to add to what you've said, if I may, that in the end Kenny will end up being the death of Carver.

It would be interesting to see the game through his eyes!

But like I said in my post, the transition wouldn't be too natural. From Lee to Clementine works. But then change to Kenny? Become Clementine's successor? That just doesn't make sense to me.

Plus unlike Lee and Clementine, who's characters received critical acclaim and love from fans and critics. Kenny has always been a mixed bag in the fanbase. I've seen my fair share of people who hate Kenny.
