nah, it's obviously just extreme hunger and lack of sleep

  • I thought so too but he wouldn't be alive if he was. I think he was just really tired and malnourished, he said he didn't sleep since the lodge was attacked and from his dialogue later he hadn't been able to find food during that time. Plus he was super stressed out about not getting caught, so there's that.
  • I thought the same, but its not true. He wouldn't have survived as long as he did.

It may have just been flu, intentionally by Telltale to get people worried. Haha
  • yeah theres something about him now that kinda jumped at me. his behavior is iffy. no way he is bitten he lasted to long. and I really like your theory about a bigger threat but I hope not cuz that would be too fucking brutal. I mean what I want to know is why he bail????

I initially thought he was bitten, too. I was afraid that when we went back to find him, he would be a walker. But yeah, like the others sai

  • Honestly, this is a great theory. He's got some blood on him, he's pale, tired, and acting super weird.

But there's a couple of things to keep in mind.

First, if he was indeed bitten, he would be showing signs just due to the amount of time that has passed. Not just the usual "ugh I'm so tired signs" but more of the "Holy shit I have a fever and I'm passing out" kind of signs.

Second, keep in mind that he spent DAYS tracking the party without any meaningful rest with walkers scattered around the wilderness. He's gonna be at the point of complete physical and mental exhaustion.

I don't believe Luke behavior's iffy. Apart from the lack of sleep and food, it's probably more to do with stress. The guy's been on his own since the ski lodge and worried sick to death about his friends and how he's going to get them out of that camp safely. It took everything in him just to get there [and on foot we'll add] and then having to stay focused and stay awake long enough to hatch an escape plan as well? The guy was at his limit.

But maybe it speaks volumes about his character too, that maybe when it comes to going solo in a zombie apocalypse for that long he's not able to cope that well as when he's in a group. You hear how he says to Clem he hadn't had anybody to talk to since the attack, that kind of comment sounds like an insecure one :S

I really hope hes not bitten, when i saw him getting drowsy while talking to Clem i was like "Fuck.. Fuck, not you please god no!"
  • He was exhausted, maybe he's sick, but if he was bitten he would've been way worse.
  • I thought at first he was bitten. But later, I think it is because of fatigue and lack of food. The fact that he is seemingly more stronger as time passes by instead of him growing weaker, I think is proof that he isn't bitten.

Yes, he was tired and hungry all these days searching Clem and the other but that don't mean he couldn't have got bit a few hours or minutes before meeting Clem...maybe that's why he wasn't showing the symptoms of a bit man, except that he was very sleepy and pale and he was just about to faint... I don't know, I hope he's ok. I really like him...
  • I thought that too when I saw him and when Clem went to give him the walkie-talkie I was so sure that we would find him as walker. But thank god we didn't.
I don't anymore think he's bitten, cause after spending a night in Carver's camp he would've already turned if he was bitten.
  • Yes! he's bitten.
