Episode 3: My thoughts
Episode 3 was probably the best episode of The Walking Dead yet. It was so tense from start to finish, I am STILL shaking after playing it.
I loved the character interactions in this one, especially between Clem and Sarah. She's such a poor girl, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. I even offered her a hug. There have been lots of hugs in the last 2 episodes. The Walking Hugs.
Speaking of hugs, it was awesome to see Luke back. I was really worried at first that he had been bitten due to how pale he was (I had flashbacks of Lee from No Time Left). And It was great to see Kenny proven wrong regarding him, and it was heartwarming to hear how much faith Nick has in him.
We finally got a large hub location with a bunch of different character interactions, I loved it, especially talking to Rebecca and Nick.
In regards to new characters, Reggie was nice... but too nice, it was too obvious he was going to die, in my opinion. Didn't make it any less heartbreaking when he did though, especially with Sarah watching.
Jane seems like a really cool person, but at the same time she comes across as cold and only worried about her own survival.
Mike seems really nice. I like him. and his character model is pretty cool with the deep scar on his face and the mangled ear, he looks like a true survivor.
Bonnie and Kenny managed to turn my opinions of them around completely. Kenny was fantastic in this episode, even though I never liked him before. seeing him being told off by Rebecca was oddly satisfying. Bonnie, much like Nick, earned my sympathy when she apologized. It takes guts to own up to your mistakes.
It was cool seeing the 400 days characters, as minor as their cameos were. Shel, Becca, Wyatt, Russel, Tavia (and i'm assuming Vince too, but he didn't join Tavia's camp in my save file). Though I imagine they are all dead now after the herd attack. Meh. at least Bonnie got out safely.
Can we all just stop for a second and think about Ninja Clem getting the drop on Carver. She shot that fucker in the face, it was glorious.
Carlos has a very fitting ending in my opinion, even in his dying breath he urged Clementine to protect Sarah. What a legend.
Cutting off Sarita's arm seemed like the logical decision, though she didn't look too happy about it (god knows why). It was either that or she would have died. I hope she understands.
What do you guys think, do you agree with my thoughts? :P
NOTE: Also, something very minor: What the hell was up with Nick's voice in this episode? did his voice actor change? or did he just hit puberty? he sounded so strange.
