Season 2 just way too streamlined
Do anyone feel the same way that season 2 is a lot more linear and streamlined compared to season 1? Episode three was such a great opportunity for exploration and huge hub, but the chance just got wasted. As I much as I love the series, it's really disappointing.

....Despite the fact that there were tons of opportunities for hubs to be implemented, there was not even 1 substantial hub in the whole episode. But hey at least we got a bunch of dumb QTE's right?
The lack of exploration or interaction really killed the immersion for me. Now it basically becomes bunch of interactive cutscenes, with no impacts of what I said and what I did.

TWD turns into JP
So true. Everyone hated JP, I think because this has walking dead in the title and everyone loved s1 they won't fuss about how liner and like Jp its become.
Sadly I don't think Telltale will ever listen for our plead for hubs. Especially now being three episodes in. Season Two has been really, really enjoyable but I really do feel like I'm more watching than playing this time around. Especially after this episode, I felt like Kenny even had more dialogue than Clementine. Though, that might just be because he's a very loud man. Plus it was up to me what her dialogue was gonna be and I do occasionally stay silent. Felt like as Clementine, I wasn't able to get too involved in goin on's when everyone was talking by the fire. Why they would they go this far with lack of hubs though? I have no idea really, guess they just wanted to have more cinematic style for their games. But it hurts the enjoyment of actually feeling like you're playing a video game.
It's still a very enjoyable season and I'm definitely hooked on it, but I do miss those things from season 1.
I really hope they go back to the drawing board and take notes from all their previous games (like you said Sam & Max being a primary example) I don't even see them being that costly or time consuming to even do. Granted some of their previous games had occasionally the tricky puzzle but they could still do it the streamline way the first Season was.
I feel like S2 could have been more if these three issues were addressed.
