Staying With ***** and the aftermath of EP. 3
First of all, let me start by saying how much I love this series and how has been extremely entertaining thus far. I want to know what everyone thought of the brutal end of Carver by Kenny's hand, and the events that followed. Now on my initial play-through I didn't agree with executing Carver but I did stay to watch his demise, I found his character really interesting and wanted a bit more of him so I was a bit saddened to see him go, I do like how he tries to instill his ways into Clem in the episode and at his death he attempts to compromise her character, he definitely wanted Clementine to stay and watch, so In a way by staying you give him what he wants, but that scene alone was well worth it, it shows a very dark side of Kenny and Clem and it also influenced my decision to cut of Sarita's arm down the road, At this point Clementine will do what it takes for her and her friends to survive. Carver has a good point in the end, He points out to them that their group is weak and will die if they leave, he is right in a way, I mean Carlos dies on their way out and Sarita is bitten. He obviously wants someone to carry on his legacy, and so there is where his obsession over his child and Rebecca came from, and also why he tries to project his ways onto Clementine. I did love agreeing with him in that One on One conversation we get with him in the episode, and I enjoy hearing him monologue. Carver was definitely a memorable character I just wish he would of stayed alive a little longer. But his death served a bigger purpose and helped Kenny's and Clementine's development overall. So anyways tell me what you thought and if there were any moments you thought were extremely important in this episode. :)
