Can Season 2 end without Clem Dying

I keep thinking about this. In order to start a new story. You have to finish the old. In season one, Lee died. He was the main person we played. He had to die, in order for us to play through Clem

Sadly. I don't see a way Season 2 can end without her death, or some saisfying answer. That way can play a NEW person in Season 3. How can you start a new story, when old one is incomplete.

My question is, is it possible to end season 2 without Clem Dying at the end. Lee death wasn't forseen till the ending of EP4. Is it possible Clem can still live at the end, and we play a new person in Season 3?

How do you see Season 2 ending?

  • Yes. Just continue with her next season, if there is one.
  • They already said. There's going be a Season 3.
Granted it till be a year before we see it. You mean keep playing as Clem but older, isn't one of her attractive quality's she's this adorable young girl. You don't think they'd want you to play a new person

Did they? When did they say that there was going to be a third season?

  • I say this again

    Clem = $$$$

And if its true what 50% of community say here that TT is getting lazy, Clementine is the only way to get people to play S3. And that's statistical fact... that i just made in my bright head.

It is possible to create a new story and still keep Clementine alive. I'm willing to bet that they will NOT finish Clementine off this season (she still has a bunch of growing up to do and character development). Also In an effort to not seem repetitive and predictable because of how they ended last season with Lee and kind of "unfortunately" as well because they don't want to piss off one of these major character fan-bases, Kenny, Clementine and possibly Luke now have a bunch of fans. It's like Daryl with the TV series version. They are keeping Daryl around for a good while, possibly due to how popular he is on that show. I don't know which character has more fans Kenny or Clementine. I'm sure Lee had a ton as well but. Clementine might make it into Season 3 (if there is one) Which is most likely going to happen especially if season 2 is nearly as successful as the first season.

  • Mostly because of all Telltale's other projects. I think there will be one too, but probably not until all of those are wrapped up.

  • This is their #1 Game. Before this Series, no one knew this game company's name. None of the other games i doubt even compare to the sales of this series combine. I am just guessing about that i haven't done the research but i can guess this game is quite the money maker.

    Any whoo
Trust me they will be making these like CSI episodes., Telltale should start making spin off shows games based on this series of Game play. Like CSI, Miami, then New York. etc. I would whore this market for every dollar it was worth.

I was hoping it would end with Carver dying, but that ship has sailed. Now the options are:

    - Clem dies (no fucking way!).

    - Kenny dies (not sure).

    - Christa was dead all along (fucking downer).

    - Clem reunited with Christa.

    - They reach Wellington.

    - Sarah dies (not sure if it's important enough).

    Or any combination of those.
  • Ok let's see. Take Season 2, now take Clementine out of it. The bathroom scene with Omid never happened and the episode starts with a new 15 year old protagonist and his/her caretaker at the campfire. From this point on everything in the story is exactly the same. Get bit, break in cabin, fix arm. Go to ski lodge, never meet Kenny, get caught by Carver. Do all the stuff you did in episode 3. Just by taking Clementine out, doesn't that story just seem incredibly boring to you? I don't see how i would get invested in this Season if it wasn't for Clem.

Now looking at the drop of quality this season i seriously doubt they will ever be able to come up with something that can succeed Clementine. Vanaman once said something like "If Clementine doesn't work, the game falls apart. If i knew back then how hard this would be then i would have probably never worked on it"

    TL;DR : Clem = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  • If Clementine actually has a forced death like Lee, i'm done! I would never forgive Telltale for killing her ...
  • I think she can still live and we play as a different person.

clem can go off on her own (like molly) and we play as someone else that clem knew while clem was gone on her own. we wouldn't know she was still alive, but we wouldn't know if she is dead either.

but first id like to see her grow up a lot more(age). I don't want to stop her story just now.
  • I don't think there getting lazy at all. I think there doing an amazing job so far. episode 3 is my favorite so far.

I say this again Clem = $$$$ And if its true what 50% of community say here that TT is getting lazy, Clementine is the only way to get people to play S3. And that's statistical fact... that i just made in my bright head.

  • I think he meant like "unavoidable"; something that the story will force you to get through.
  • Ye what TGTBTD said. Thanks for helping me refine it bud ^^

  • yes wtf is wrong with your imagination?? how can they not. and it has always been about clementine.
  • I thinks that what they'll probably end it with. Wellington. remember that they said it was colder over there, so for the people that like bringing the slide for episode 5, well you keep avoiding that there is snow. I mean it can be wellington WIS, Maine, Kentucky for all we know. where is the new location from where they are?? I know they are not in Georgia anymore so where are they? someone said virginia

Clem's survival in a way represents the future of mankind in the TWD universe.

If she dies after all the crap she's gone through adjusting and growing up to be a capable, good-natured survivor in this bleak new world, it just means humanity is doomed.
If she lives to become an adult, who has never let go of her morals, it means there is hope for the people to prosper again. That good kids can still be raised in that world. That there is some glimmer of hope for the future.
  • It doesn't mean Clem has to be much older. If they do a season three she wouldn't be more than a year older, or at least I don't think they'd do another major time skip.

They already said. There's going be a Season 3. Granted it till be a year before we see it. You mean keep playing as Clem but older, isn't

  • Telltale can't get it through their skulls that Game of Thrones will not be a bigger success than TWDG. It'll be good but nothing they've made has beaten TWDG... their second best on is TWAU (IMO) and even still, it's not very comparable to TWDG, it's points and points lower than it.

  • I agree, it was the best, but there are a few little tid bits that were rushed.

  • NATE NATE NATE NATE NATE NATE(for the new protagonist)

    That is all.

    What happens to Clementine?
    Fuck if I know.
  • if she dies in season 2 it will be Telltale Game's biggest mistake
  • I would say there is a less than 1 % chance Clementine dies. I mean if they did that I would honestly be shocked like never before. However it wouldn't make sense. They can end the season and story without Clem dying.
