What is wrong with Luke?

Obviously, something is wrong with Luke. At first I thought he was bit but then he didn't get sick. Now I think Luke is a nut case... Does anyone else think he is? What's wrong with him??? (I don't hate Luke by the way. He is one of my favorite characters.)

I think he is hiding a big secret behind us all :/

even when Clem tells Luke to shoot Carver .. he didn't want to .. until Kenny shot him
  • It was just lack of sleep. You know, trying to follow a truck filled with those you care about while avoiding detection from walkers and the captors can be pretty hard on the body and mind.
  • He was tired and hungry in episode 3
  • He looked like that because Clementine caught him playing with himself..

Nah really no. I no longer think he is bit, but something IS wrong. Why else would he dodge her question when she asks if he is alright?
  • Maybe he didn't want to worry her? Trying not to look weak to disappoint her?

  • He was kind of pale I think

  • I also wondered what to do with him. First I thought if not bitten. Ashen face, his brain stalled somewhat ... but later he seemed fine again. Indeed it was the fatigue? It's possible, but hard to say. Lucky is something wrong. But I can not guess what.
I've thought for a moment if she does not move the drugs. But to me it does not fit.
    Maybe a little schizophrenic?
  • Lack of food, too.

  • Yeah, I also thought that he was bitten at first, but it was pretty much revealed that it was due to a mix of him being hungry and tired, wasn't it?
  • I think he is lying about what's wrong with him...

  • The one thing right they did with Luke in this episode was this, made him stuff up cause he was sleepy and hungry. It's not something epic like Kenny who's had his eye smashed in, but it just made Luke human. People were complaining about him being to perfect, and this was a small tear to that 'perfect'.
  • Hopefully. But I fear that it will be something else. Telltale are insidious. : D

He kind of reminds me like Clem in season 1. Quote from Chuck: "She is a puzzle to figure out" [Chuck to Lee about Clem after finding the train](something like that)
  • I definitely think he's hiding something. It could be something personal, like a fatal injury, or maybe he mentally cracked up but doesn't want the group to know. Or it could be something that affects the group, like maybe he had ulterior motives for rescuing them, or maybe there's someone or a group chasing after him.

I personally think he's cracked up a bit and gave into some overwhelming guilt over his poor leadership skills and flakiness. They keep mentioning stuff like this - how he had ideas for how to lead but butted heads with Carver, how he pretty much orchestrated the plan to escape, Carver called him the cut-and-run tight, Kenny called him flaky, the rest of the group had their doubt whether or not he'd help, and we've seen first-hand through all three episodes how indecisive he can be.

Nick mentioned that Luke is the type to keep going, and I think he may have finally ran out of gas and the world came crashing down on him. Maybe he finally realizes that he's not a strong leader, he has these flaws i mentioned, and blames himself for everything that has happened to the group. He was by himself for a good few days, so it probably gave him plenty of time to think.
