Does Luke even care about Nick?

In my save file Nick got eaten by a walker in episode 2. I thought Luke would be mad at Clementine next time he sees her.

Later in episode 3 Luke doesn't even ask about Nick! Was this the writers fault?

It's not same writer who written episode 2.
  • Yeah, I know.

  • The next time Luke would have seen Nick would be after Luke got caught by Carver (or Carver's guards? forgot which) so he probably asked about Nick when he saw the group again. The group would've told him he was dead and I'd imagine Luke'd be really sad about this. It could've been one of those off-screen things we have to imply about or it could be lazy writing. I do think that later in Ep. 4, Luke will talk to Clem about Nick like: "So he's really gone then?" (after being told by the group that Nick's dead) or "How's Nick doing?" (If he didn't die).
  • Well the entire different writer thing might effect those sorts of things... I think Luke cares more than enough to not even mention him, probably just a mistake they forgot to put in.
  • Wtf

  • Maybe he saw the body. He most likely went back after Carved left.
  • Oh my god, I have the same question. I'm pretty sure he does (might) except he doesn't show it? And thinks he's a tinnnyy bit annoying? I like to agree with a thought that Nick admires him (not in that way) alot and seems kinda clingy. But other than that, its just like uuhh ahhh friendship, he does care, it's just vague when he talks about it (if he ever did) to Clementine.
  • Wow, Luke doesn't even ask or talk about Nick if he dies in Episode 2? Now that's a serious oversight for the writers involved, especially since Luke and Nick supposedly known each other for twenty years.
  • Maybe the rest of the group told him when he got cought before Clementine arrived or he saw Nick's body when he "took a hike."
...or it's just a plothole. I believe that Luke really cares about Nick. He seemed to be worried about him in episode 2.
