My take on Season 2 (Episode One completed)
Considering how people are complaining about Season 2, I was thinking about how it could be made better. So I decided to post a summary of each episode (and I'll go on into Episode 5) that would be if I had written it. Now this is nothing more than a fun thought experiment with S2, so don't get your panties in a twist if you don't like it. Now, onward with the summaries!
EPISODE ONE: "ALL THAT REMAINS"
Omid, Christa and Clem go to Gil's Pitstop to rest up and wash up. Christa and Omid have their talk about the baby's name, which Clem either adds to or ignores. Finding a dead walker (the old lady watchdog from Shel's story), Clem thinks of her parents and either sobs or toughens up. Christa spots it and asks, "What kind of sick people do these things?" Omid cracks a joke bout the cancer group, which Christa admonishes. Omid tells Christa and Clem to wash up and use the toilet. They go in, and Omid guards with the rifle. Once Christa and Clem are finished, they go out and into a hub scene inside the diner where you try to find weapons, bullets and supplies. When you finish, Michelle comes out, with a pistol in hand, and takes Clem hostage. You can choose to fight back or let the group work things out. If you fight, Clem bites Michelle, who overreacts and shoots Christa in the hip, dangerously close to her baby. Omid becomes Omid-Hulk and kills Michelle. If you the group work things out, Michelle says, "Fuck this shit!" and kills Omid.
~ TIME SKIP~
We are treated to a montage where we see, if you fight back, Christa giving birth to a beautiful baby with fetal alcohol syndrome inside the prison bus. Both mother and baby die soon after. Omid sobs terribly as he shoots them both. The two are buried, with flower on a mound of dirt.
If you work things out, you see Christa crying over Omid's grave as Clem puts a little note (in cute child's handwriting) saying "We love you Omid" as the two walk away.
In North Carolina, Clem and either Omid or Christa hang out in their fire pit, trying to make their fire go. Christa and Omid will both be depressed, Christa more so, and Clem will have to work things out by herself. Christa/Omid will go find wood and Clem can choose to burn, same as before, a picture of Lee or Kenny, as the bandits hold up and question Christa/Omid. You can either distract the bandits or run away, but either way, Christa/Omid's fate is left ambiguous as Clem gets chased by Winston. After the fight, which is the same as before, Winston gets eaten by walkers and Clem takes Winston's spear. After awkwardly stabbing a zombie, she and the dead zombie fall over into the water.
Clem wakes up on the beach. Trying to find a boat, she only sees the crashed canoe. She climbs up the dock and continues into the camp trail. There, she finds our dog Sam. After a brief but tense introduction, the two go to the camp, where Clem scavenges for food and plays frisbee with Sam. After finding the can of beans and knife, Clem eats the beans as Sam watches. You can either give him the food or not, but same as in TT EP1, he attacks Clem, and you can choose to mercy kill or leave Sam.
After this, Clem, wounded, walks to the forest and gets saved by Pete and Luke. They take her back to the cabin just as she passes out. After a brief debate between Pete, Luke, Reggie, who want to save Clem, and Rebecca, Nick and Alvin, (in this alternate universe, Reggie escapes with the group, but he still loses his arm) Carlos decides to send Clem to the shed.
Nick and Luke take her to the shed and lock her up. Sarah catches a glimpse of Clem before the door to the shed closes. Clem uses her brain and sneaks out to get supplies. She meets Sarah, who helps her find peroxide, discovers Rebecca is unsure of her baby's daddy, and gets a juice box (or not) from Alvin, who apologizes for being a dick. After a particularly brutal surgery, Clem fights Sander (my name for the zombie in the shed. He's basically male Sandra) and kicks his ass. The cabin group discovers what happens and that she fixed herself, and the group lets her back into the cabin. Carlos fixes her up, tells her to stay away from Sarah, and leaves.Nick apologizes, while Luke explains what happened with Nick's mom. Luke and Clem eat and Clem tells her story (only difference being that Clem adds the part about the gas station). Luke and Pete go up to sleep, while Rebecca apologizes, blaming the bitchiness on hormones and pregnancy.
The next morning, Reggie, Pete and Nick go to get the fish traps. They come upon the corpses of Carver's victims. The four investigate each of the bodies, including Roman, Clive, and others. Clem discovers Victor, still alive, begging for a drink. If you give Victor the water, he'll say, "Fucker Bill... Betrayed us... He's still..." and dies. If not, he dies calling Clem a "bitch."
Then Pete gets his foot bitten, and Reggie grapples with a walker. You have to choose who to save. If you save Pete, you smack the walker off of Pete and Reggie loses his fight and gets devoured. If you save Reggie, you smack a walker off Reggie, and Reggie and Nick run off with you.
In the distance, Carver looks at the river with his binoculars. He says, "They're here. I knew it."
