The Radio Count

This has been confusing me for awhile now. When Clem went to go take the radios, she is visibly seen taking two of them. When she returns, she shows Kenny and the rest of the group only one. After that, there is only one radio on the table, and it seems as if the other radio that Clem took has dissipated into thin air. Later, Carver is seen to be holding a radio with a beat up Luke on the ground, implied to have been in Luke's possession. Is this the other radio Clem stole? If so, how did he get it? Did he steal another radio and then try to steal food and get caught? If so, why did he ask Clem to get him a radio in the first place? This whole conglomerate of confusion was never really elaborated on and I can't be the only one extremely confused.

Didn't have anything against when Lee was able to carry a propane tank in his pocket though did you?

Honestly the writing was not the problem with the episode. If it was a TV show this would actually be one of the better ones. But as a game this episode was very underwhelming.

But I'll admit, this post does have a good point. It confused me for a bit, but it wasn't the craziest thing this series did.

  • The one radio was intended to be delivered to Luke, with the other one hidden in the yard. I imagine Tavia had known about Clem stealing the walkie-talkies, and for it to be planned to search the yard for the extra radio before gathering everyone up for punishment. That's why nobody cared for Kenny obviously giving Clem the radio. They already knew, and finding Luke was just an accident.

It's the best defense I have on this subject. I still think it's bonkers, but this explanation works. I think.
  • I think that's more about design than writing. Season 1 was all about gameplay and clicking things so maybe they did that so they wouldn't spend too much time making a cutscene/animation where Lee carries over the propane tank.

Well, Clem had the one that was to be given to Luke, so I just assumed that the one that Carver found was the one that they were going to use to talk with Luke once he had also gotten a radio. It must have been somewhere in the yard, or someone else like Mike had it.
