Unfortunately, from what I've heard on other forums, captchas' won't always stop spambots. However, I imagine it will put a strong dent in t… morehe amount you see.

I honestly don't care about the rest of the trolls since they are mostly harmsless kids who get bored but the dude posting porn and other disturbing pictures will have a tougher time now. I think even some of the trolls who have been banned already will think twice before trolling again, they could actually decide to be "normal" for once.
We will have IP banning, and some extra tricks up our sleeve as well.
Nothing can absolutely stop anyone, but as you said, we can dismantle them quickly enough to where it won't be worth the effort.
Yeah, I agree lots of images on one page can be a bummer sometimes.
No guarantees, but I've recently requested as a future feature that… more long comment chains and deeper layered comments with pictures be hidden by default, kind of like how Reddit does. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.

day: 16 still no images and gifs but we are getting there, it's the final stretch in our wait and we only have to keep our calm/sanity under… more control until that time, we have lost many in the wait for them to return but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.

The people posting the disturbing images are definitely the main reason that the web team is working so hard to get the changes out. On the old forums, there were measures that Telltale staff could take that were much more severe than just IP bans. That isn't possible on the forums as they are now, but thankfully it will become possible again once the newest forum upgrade is in place.

Things are looking really up for our incoming mod tools. I've been taking them for a test run (elsewhere) and I've also gotten some good feedback in that will help us mods even more.
