Ideas for new Telltale Games

edited February 2010 in General Chat
Here are what I would most like to see in a point 'n' click adventure game.

Sardine in outer space
South park
Danger Mouse (cartoon)
Calvin and Hobbes
Invader Zim
Pearls Before Swine (comic strip)
Making Fiends

Who else thinks so???

    Others could be,

    Garfield.
    U.S Acres.
    Spongebob.
    Home Alone.

There's a lot of stuff they could do. I was kidding about Home Alone though :p.

    Rabbids.

I guess nobody thought to make a game out of Rabbids yet.

I would love a game on The Adventures of Tintin or Jonny Quest. But anything that has already an adventure feel to it. That would be cool.

    Invader Zim
    That would be interesting.
It would be like "I need to get Gir to help with my evil plan to use the hypno plunger OF DEATH and finally destroy that Dib-monkey." and like you have to go steal a taco from that taco place Gir loves and bribe gir with it.
    That would be Invader Zim-ish.

South Park is being made on Xbox Live. Still, it would be excellent as a point and click. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYS7g6t4VVk&feature=related

I'll go out on a limb and say Dilbert. There's a variety of characters and at times, a character is given some sort of goal. If it isn't Dilbert, it's Dogbert cleaning up someone else's mess.

A Dogbert game would be pretty cool...
He should just try to go around and give people bad advice. Or is that Catbert?

I just thought of another game idea:
    Get Fuzzy
You play as Bucky and get to roam around Rob's house while p'ing off Satchel. The best part would be the conversation, where you get to utilize Bucky's unique vocabulary.

I think that's both of them.

I would say that I was thinking along the lines of Dilbert's company screwing up, and having to hire Dogbert as a lawyer or as a consultant to set the company straight. Even though the advice might be bad for the company, it's not bad for Dogbert. A Dogbert game would be more about exploitation :p

On the Dilbert side, it could be about him making a product, and he has to go through various stages of corporate politics to get it done.

    No! Just. No.

The kid has been begging for his crappy idea to be a game for over three years, it NEVER gets old!

I think out of malicious sarcasm, it needs to be done. For the lulz!

a Scobby Doo point n click Adventure game would be fun, something that's funny and has mystery.
  • edited November 2008
Oh, and Freakazoid!, there should be a Freakazoid! game...

Speaking of Steven Spielberg stuff, Animaniacs would be hilarious.

Pinky and the Brain. Before anyone else says it.

Also, the idea of a Mario point and click adventure seems like the most hilarious thing possible right now for some reason.

All of the Richard Stone / Spielberg cartoons should be made into one all-encompassing game

...with cameos from the movies, if possible.

Family Guy could make for a good game too. I'd rather the Simpsons, but they're taken by EA.

I had the chance to watch a British show the other day: Red Dwarf. It's a series that often involves some problems that need fixing.

  • edited November 2008
    Doctor Who. Would be amazing.
    The meepits outgrabe.

A meepit? As in, one of these?

Heh heh. Those are pretty funny.

I think they should make another Maniac Mansion game...although it's very unlikely to happen because Lucasarts holds the rights and they probably don't want to do anything with that anymore.

    *just kidding.

Do not read too much into my opinion on this because IP acquisition is miles away from my department, buuuut... Bob the Builder would make an excellent adventure game for kids.
  • edited November 2008
I guess Bob the Builder would be OK for little kids, I mean they have to solve lots of problems and stuff, but I think it would get tedious to play it. That's just my opinion, though.

I just got Kung Fu Panda on DVD, and I think that it could also be good as a point and click game. I think Activision holds the rights, though.

The meepits outgrabe is a comic.

I have actually recently become pretty fond of Phineas and Ferb in the last week. Do that
  • edited November 2008
Isn't by some animators from the Simpsons?
  • edited November 2008
Could be; the animation is less stiff than other modern cartoons tend to be, and has a similar feel.
  • edited November 2008
The meepits would make a good game. Their just like the Rabbids but more crazier and they have a rival called feepits.
  • edited November 2008
Potter Puppet Pals would be awsome for point-and-click!

    www.potterpuppetpals.com Watch it! Its funny!

Woah, for a minute I almost thought that I had dreamt that cartoon.

I still remember the theme tune surprisingly well.

And I may have said this before, but the "Pirates! In An Adventure With..." series is just asking for a game/film adaptation of some description.
And as soon as I said that I saw the last bit in the first link. That is awesome.
