When Kenny was beat with the walkie talkie he was out cold. Then, as the group talks and carlos is patching up Kenny, he suddenly rises and is able to fight and move fluidly. I thought that was sort of unrealistic.

    Oh i know, i saw those pictures too lol, my theory is: Kenny's beard absorved any toxins that food had and transformed them in proteins and calcium, because of the big amount of calcium in Kenny's body Carver was not able to break through his skull, the beard, the beard and mustache have powers no human can understand.
