How do you get bitten?

So, Idunno how to start this discussion but yeah.
How do you get bitten?
When the zombie bites you, does the zombies blood mix with yours?
What if a zombie is tearing a person, doesn't the zombie's blood mix with them?
Isn't there a risk that you can get infected by them?
Because a Zombie can't just bit someone without leaving something on the person's body.
Just think about it, Sarita got bitten, You can choose if Clementine should cut her.

  • Thats why you amputate the part of the body that was bitten before the infection spreads but one thing clem didnt consider was that she already had walker blood on her weapon so i dont think the amputation is gonna do anything.
  • Aha okay, that makes sense.

  • Zombies are walking bacteria factories. They're mouths are especially full of them. Think of the Komodo Dragon bite myth. The bit of grue on Clem's weapon may or may not be enough to cause a deadly infection. We'll have to wait and see.
  • Oh that makes sense, the question is, when did everyone on TWD become infected (If they die, they are becoming walkers without being bitten) how is that possible?

  • Their saliva
  • Maybe they inhaled the bacteria/virus/whatsoever

  • Their saliva enters the bloodstream and causes an infection.
  • It's a mystery. For now, at least.

  • The bites don't actually turn you, they just kill you faster. Their saliva getting into your bloodstream just rapidly shuts your body down. Everyone's got the dormant zombie strand in them that awakes when they die. The zombie bite just speeds up that process.
